When my Mum bought Celery, she would give it a good old rinse and then pop in in a jug of water to keep fresh on the kitchen window sill.
The smell was quite pungent.
It's nothing like that now. Boo Hoo!

I bought some celery just yesterday and your right Prickly Holly it doesn;t taste anything like it used to ...lol
i also bought a lovely cauli from Ald* s and had plenty of green on it . :-) :-)

Celery.

Now, what has happen to the luverly, white, crisp, fat, sticks of Celery that you used to buy........all covered in black dirt?

All that seem's to be on offer these days are green, rubbery sticks which i don't actually buy........because it taste nothing like Celery!!

TAKES AGES TO POST ON HERE

TRY THIS SIMMER CAULI TILL SOFT
MASH IT UP FRY ONIONS AN MIX
SPREAD OUT INLARGE DISH
USE 2 PASCKETS FOUR CHEESE
POUR OVER COVER IN RED LEISTER
CHEESE AN OVEN FOR HALF HOUR
THEN GRILL TILL CRISPY
