So why, if everyone is so caring, anyone trying to discuss it is met with an almost total lack of interest?

True Sharron.

Harper Lee wrote a brilliant book.

Dermot and Lizlynes. Can I say that just because we have fun on here at times it doesn't mean that we care any less for the poverty in the world. If that is not what you meant I apologise but that is what it seemed like.

My sentiments exactly Dermot! It never ceases to amaze me the total lack of concern one section of the world has for the other in terms of triviality!!

To the starving in the Horn of Africa, 'names' are probably bottom of the list of importance just now.

Sounds like a brand of cider.

Perhaps Seven because she's the fourth? ;-)

Harper Valley would have been better!

Still not the wierdest name for a child. For me it has to go a long way to beat Fifi Trixiebelle Geldoff. That's a pet name, not a proper name, poor girl.

I'd love to know what's behind the Seven though...
Seven Deadly sins?
Seven brides for seven brothers?
Seven Dwarfs?

Where on earth did they get the name Harper Seven from (sounds like a cleaning product.)

Yes I know, reading Kay's thread, they called the poor little mite after Muffy's dog.

Dermot

Dermot Report 11 Jul 2011 08:23

I hope the new arrival smiles now & again.

Never been interested in what "stars" call their children

But love reading this type of thread

I looked at the name quickly and read it is Harpic

Why can they not pick normal names
