i dont mind geneology threads posted on chat, if i have no intrest in a thread i dont read it or post on it, i wouldnt dream of offering help as im rubbish at tree stuff, thats what mammys for ;-)

Me too Uggers and Susan as well, sometimes you just need to ask a question outloud and you answer it yourself.....and also how I want to progress changes , I have stopped wanting to move back I am happy working more on what I have and buliding up a stronger profile of branches of my tree................

No Hayley, from Eire and London so we're not long lost relations after all. See, a genealogical thing solved on chat like the old days......

My Smiths are the curse of my life Hayley..some lines are surprisingly easy...some almost impossible to separate...but I'm ever so proud to be one...from just about every branch in my blinking tree lololol.

...and i can only repeat what Muffy said, I first posted on tips and almost instantly got results that I couldn't see for looking myself, but discovered chat. I also tried to return the help but was too slow in comparison, so limit myself to occasionally helping someone on general chat instead.

I used to help and get help on the research board when I first joined and am indebted to some of the help I received but I stopped feeling comfortable on there years ago and stopped using them. Now I don't want to and use other sites for research. But I would sometimes,like Susanwithnumbers, like to ask more informally on the chat board and might sometime :-D
