Grabagran Report 7 Jun 2011 22:07

OMG This is so upsetting to watch, and it shows exactly what happened when a young soldier lost his life in 2007. It was his first posting.
It was filmed by a platoon member.
Initially his family were told he had died instantly, but his commanding officer wrote a letter to his mother detailing everything, and saying he was still alive.
She received it 2 weeks after he died. She sent it back as rejected.
I wonder if the truth would've come out if the events hadn't been filmed.
It's taken 4 years for his parents to finally read the letter.
His best mate tried to save his life, and is no engaged to his sister.
Eye opening programme, and very touching. Continues next week
