MMmmmm !!! had an interesting phone call with the mod just now, apparently it is not the policy of Headley court to inform next of kin that our son has been taken to hospital, in fact they didn't inform anyone, not even Ash's personal recovery officer, he only found out when he called Ash about another matter!!! Had anything happened to Ash when he was in surgery just who the hell would have told us!!!! xx Sorry to rant but i am truely astounded by this information.

Hello Izzy,

What??? That makes no sense at all. As his parent surely there must be a compassionate leeway in this daft rule.

Re the op, everything crossed Ash recovers quickly and the infection is zapped.

Sorry to hear that Ash has had a set back again. He really is being tested isn't he Izzy?

Regarding Headley court not informing anyone of his admittance to hospital. That sounds all wrong and sounds as if, when things are back to what passes for normal with you, you should follow it up. And maybe speak to your MP. Surely at least his personal recovery officer should be informed.

I hope that Ash overcomes the latest setback and is soon smiling again.

I'll give him upstairs a good talking too, I think it is time he took the load off your shoulders. You all have proved you can bear the load he has given you, now it's time for him to reward you.God Bless you all. Elaine :-) <3

I read about the info rules on fb and think it's a disgrace. Maybe talking to an MP will get something done, it would be awful if you were going about your daily business not knowing your child was back in theatre or whatever and needing your support. Red tape and such going too far there.

Hope Ash's wounds soon heal with all infection gone and he can continue his rehab, he has been doing so well yet always seems to be knocked back. Hope his smile is still on show, he has such courage but there are limits to how much one person can take.

Best of luck to him and all the family, and special thoughts for you Izzy, Mums seem to be the ones who hold it all together and have to be strong when really they want to fall to pieces and howl.

Hugs to you all Izzy. Prays for Ash to be up and about quickly.

You asked Liz has she been under your pillow, I don't think you want to know how many of us are under there keeping an eye on you.

Love Hugs and Prayers

Izzy, not under your pillow but I just know how I would feel and how I have seen other Mums be strong and fight for their kids. I am not sure I would be as strong as you. With no siblings for my lad and no reliable partner, and my lad's Dad not interested and in Malta, and no parents alive, I would have to rely on my gr support network for sure.

Hope you have some close friends or a sis or brother to release some feelings to, I know you wouldn't want to put any more pressure on your o.h. as he has been under the same pressures as you but you need to be able to 'let go' to someone and get a hug or a shoulder to cry on sometimes.

One thing's for sure, your lads know their Mum is always there for them and will move heaven and earth to help them through their troubles. They are lucky lads to have such a great Mum, and I bet they are proud of you, especially with you being so attractive too.

Otherwise, you can always come on here and know there will be someone around to 'hold your hand'
Hope Ash has a good week and the infection is losing it's battle.

(((((((hugs))))))) for you Izzy.
Liz is right, you have many friends on here who will always be here to hold your hand. We are all aware that Ash is an incredible young man but you have been incredibly brave holding everything together over the last 13 months. No parent should have to endure as much as you've been through and I admire the courage and strength you have shown to us all.
Ash, keep fighting that infection and stay strong, we aunties are all with you.
