Whilst we knew it was inevitable Wendy I am every so sorry but am also happy that you were able to get him that reunion with his sister.

Thanks Wendy for keeping us all up to date with his illness and for sharing with us the meeting with his sister (and the brooch).

It is awful to see them struggle so we have to look upon it as a blessed release. Love to your mum and sister.

Hi everyone
Just thought I would let you all know
My Dad passed away yesterday afternoon
I joined this site to find my dads sister and thanks to the kind help of people on here we found her and managed to reunite them after 75 years appart
Myself and my family especially my dad would like to Thank you all those that helped and those that sent special messages to them for their reunion


I would like to thank especially JaneyCanuck who without her this would not have happend and I know you dont like this Janey but im sending you the biggest ((((((( Hug ))))))))) for making this possible for my dad xxx


I will continue to stay on the site and try to help those that I can

I am sorry to read this latest news and hope you can be with your Dad and talk to him about happier times so he knows he has left lasting memories and how much you all love him.

He has done his best to stay with you but maybe this latest blow is sent to save him from further worry and suffering, bless him. It's awful to watch a man who loved and protected you when you were small, be almost helpless and reliant on others to feed them and so on. Their dignity is often taken away from them, it broke my heart to have to sit and feed my poor Dad porridge and for my brothers to have to help him on to the commode and such. Then to hear his delirious ramblings because of the morphine, how cruel for an ex Army man to be reduced to that because of the evil cancer.

I hope your Dad has a gentle passing with loved ones waiting to take him away from the suffering. I wish you and your family strength to get through this and support each other .

Oh dear Wendy, I am so so sorry that things have not turned out for the better. You and your lovely family are in my thoughts...It is hard to get your head around it all, so you have to remember all the good things and achievements over the years. I will be going to Scotland in the morning to be with my dad and mum
He is on a pump so he is painfree which is a blessing
He is very tired and has fought hard to beat this but its not to be
So all we can do now is be with him and let him know how much we love him

I can understand how hard it must be for you all to see your Dad struggling.
I hope he can be more comfortable and breathe easier.
