Jules, as we have been in contact through messaging I have not recently added anything on this thread.

I am delighted that you now have your own home to move into, how exciting for you. Hard work to be sure, but what triumph you must be feeling. Just make sure that you do not become overtired.

Lots of good advice re recycling of unwanted items, even cookers etc.....

You wanted Independence and as you move on Independenc day there isn't really much more you could have.

08.39 Spain.

Hi guys..

Yes Liz the army cant throw me out...Although I have to pay full rent now...That will be covered by housing benefit....Still have lots to sort out, my head is spinning...Pat still has all his belongings here so im waiting for Army welfare captain to ring me to see if we can arrange for him to collect his things when i have gone as I dont have to hand the house over until 19th July at 10am..God knows how I will get here by then!!

I have made a start on cleaning the oven and cupboards as the house has to be spotless for the marchout!! I will have to come back before the 19th to give it a good clean....Didn't really want to come back once I have left but i don't have a choice....I don't want to get billed for anything..

Great that you have a moving date Jules, I almost got married on Independence Day once lol
It's a great new start for you and you will have all summer to get the place sorted ready to be cosy and snug when winter comes along.

Hope things go well and you love the place when you see it, will the Army let you stay till the moving date as it's only a week after they wanted you out, give or take a day or so?

Talk to you soon

Lizxx

Thank you for the advice...I will take a look later on..I have applied for a community care grant which if successful will help with some of the cost..Also my caseworker is going to ring the British Legion to see if they can help....

Off to the docs now, oh the joy.....

Jules - with Freecycle you only have to donate ONE item to get you started - after that there is not limit to what you ask for.

Just back on line, Jules. Great that you have a date, you must be so excited.

My son recently separated from his wife (who got the lot), and we got several items from freecycle for him. These included an electric cooker in beautiful condition, a fridge, and an ironing board. Our local group is really good, and we ourselves have both given and received unwanted stuff from it.

Important that you have your colour schemes sorted, got your Doctor and Vet sorted.

All the very best

Great news, Jules. I'm so happy for you. As Gwyn has said, 4th July is Independence Day, and it certainly is for you.

Hope you can get all the things you need for your new home.

Good Luck!

Blinky brilliant Jules:o))

Join Freecycle and ask for bits, although that means you have to offer items aswell....but see what they have to offer anyways:o)

Hope all goes well for from now on:o)

At long last Ann...I have been looking at curtains and paint today, trying to decide what colours to have the rooms.....
My favourite colour is red and most of my duvets are red so i have decided to have red and cream for my bedroom, light brown and orange for my lounge, yellow for the kitchen and lilac for my other bedroom......For the hallway good old magnolia..
Not that im planning ahead or anything lol :-D :-D :-D
