Just under 3 and a half hours left for Saturday in New Zealand. But then we are Gods Own Country, so maybe we will not disappear off the face of the earth.

And if that doesnt spark howls of objection from the Ausies, I dont know what will?

Huia.

The "prophet" is saying it's 6PM in whatever time zone YOU are in. So it would be NZ first, then work it's way around the world as each place reaches it's own 6PM.

Hasn't happened here, so you're all ok lol

Lots of snow still around in the Rockies, and other mountains in BC ................ it's been a record year.

In fact, they were still getting snow on the mountains across the ahrbour from Vancouver last week ......... we get rain at sea level, they get snow at 5,000'. As a result, the slopes there will be open until July 1st weekend. The longest ever opening!

Just in case you ever decide to venture out west, Janey ................. bring warm clothes right up to mid-June for the Rockies :))))

tut tut

you're all celebrating early!

the "prophet" is in the US

so obviously it's 6 pm time in whatever state he's in ...... can't tell you which one 'cos the news item on him won't load

but it's now somewhere between about 11:45 pm May 20 on the Pacific Coast, and 3:45 am May 21 on the Atlantic Coast (a half-hour later in Newfoundland and Labrador)

so there's still several hours to wait

and I am going to bed. Might as well have a good sleep before eveyhting goes "poof"

Noooooo... everythings just hunky dory in Oz. 4pm east coast

Sun is shining, but its raining.
Blue skies with lightning and thunder.
Stars are out with a full moon
Birds are flying upside down
Planet Mars just floated by, followed by Jupiter
Cyclones and flooding in the north...fires in the west...and snowing the south.

Soooo just a normal day here.

;-) :D

1 am here in southern Ontario, it's about half one am, and the rain and world seems unending..
My eldest granddaughter has been really spooked by the hoo-ha about the end of the world as we know it. Poor kid was petrified.
Haven't bothered to wash up tonight, just in case, but just saw on the news that the end is due at 6pm, well Oz must already be past 6pm now so as much as I have no fear of death itself,, those worried can probably breathe again.
More sad news tonight from Great Slave Lake, where forest fires have destroyed most of the community. earlier reports indicated no loss of life, now a helicopter pilot has been killed while hovering over the lake, collecting water to fling on the fires. RIP, such a dangerous job,
I am off to bed, hope to catch you all again tomorrow.

I woke up, so that is a good start. Decided to eat all the chocolate in the house just in case, sun still shining, oh still snoring but there is still the 16 hrs and 32 minutes of the day left. No point in cleaning, washing, ironing etc so good excuse to drink the champagne.......
Hope someone is still here apart from us

Janey I noticed the geewhiz mail thingy was missing a few options. Took me quite a while to work out how to log out. Duh!!!! New button.

It is approaching 1pm Saturday here. I've made the prawns, meatballs and rice dish for tea tonight.

Sorry SueMaid, and I do agree with you. If a monumental happening is to be foisted upon the multitude I really believe it should be organised , catered, timed and co-ordinated with more expertise than this.

SueMaid Report 21 May 2011 00:06

It's only 9am Aunty - giving the 'end' a chance. It's very rude to expect something as important as that on an empty stomach. We should be allowed to have breakfast.

Well, AuntyS, I hope you're happy.

I'm going to go make soup.

Google has been futzing around with Gmail again, I see. Sigh.

From the times on the posts, I see it is approaching midnight GMT!

Maybe that's where it will all start -- not at the international date line, but at the Greenwich meridian!!

I'm hungry (it's nearly 7 pm here) and I want to go make soup, but I guess I'd better wait and see what befalls the green and pleasant land in 7 minutes ... 6 minutes ...

Let me tell you from one who has already had the experience, it's a real downer. There I was looking forward to something different from the run of the mill humdrum existence of the daily grind and.........

yep, another disappointment!!!
