Thanks for that comment TF, I thought I was the one going quackers as I searched everything in my toolbars and couldnt find anything about compatability. I guess I must be IE7. Oh well, at least I know what the funny signs mean, now, and can do them for you to see the emoticons. :D

Compatibility view is an Internet explorer 8 feature which can be found in tools.

However if you are using a lower version, unfortunately this will not fix your problem:-(

I don't know Wend lol, but I had a tick by it so I have unticked and got the smileys :)

Just arrived in at the end of this tale of woe. I found one of the earliest pictures of me and figured that would do for the time being.

May I give a hint. Not that I am any more technologically advanced however, having experienced problems with making this fun work.........

If you are using firefox, I do not know if this will work

If you are using IE

go to Tools (well that's as good a place to start as any)
Tools, compatability view.

If you have "compatability view" checked, uncheck it.
Then go back to your account and the little things should be there.

You may then re-check compatabilty view if you wish.

You already know this! Oh well...... I did say I was too lazy to read.
