You're quite right in that the ONS is funded by public money. However, whilst it reports to Parliament, it is not under any form of ministerial control, and therefore operates independently. |

I didnt find the census form difficult, but I dont think they will be much use to future geneaologists. No questions about whether you have hereditary illnesses for instance, which I seem to remember have been in past censuses. Thats how we found the psoriatic arthritis is in the family. |
