I nearly died from an "Elbow" attack in a shop that had a sale on Libby!!! Funny to think about it now, but it soo wasn't funny at the time!! :>))

I feel for you.

I work in a shop selling clothes for " the mature lady". We only keep one of each size and colour on the shop floor, restock as they are sold. Each item is steamed to take out the packaging creases.

I was busy steaming "tops" when some old dear decides she wants to get passed me. No "excuse me" or anything else, just pushed me out of the way. End result - huge burn on my arm. To top it all she caught my ankle with her shopping trolley. No "sorry" or anything.

Neither old age or "hard times" excuses bad manners.

From a young (apparently) 58 year old. xx

whilst I wouldn't make excuses for violence, if she was old possibly it 'might' be that she has dementia, or onset of it which can mean the good manners and polite behaviour are 'over-ridden'.

On the other hand she might have been tired of people getting in her way lol, if I had had a brolly in the shopping centre yesterday I might have been tempted! lol
