Why do I know a number of ladies who see ghosts when I dont know a man including me who has seen one---when sober

Florence61

Florence61 Report 6 Feb 2011 23:45

up until my son was 7 years old, he always played and talked with his friends that no one else could see or hear.

every nite when i went in to his bedroom to tuck him up, he would say you have to go now its my bedtime, see you tomorrow.

when i asked who he was talking to, he said they are my friends mum and they come every nite to play with me. when you come in they run away.

i got used to this and to be honest have seen things myself so it really didnt bother me.

but one nite my mil was babysitting and she saw him laughing and talking to himself and she got a real fright not having witnessed it before.

when i came home she was shaking and told me what happened. i said oh that occurs every nite, they are his spirit friends. she didnt believe me and never mentioned it again.

but after he turned 7 i asked him, where they were and he said they went to play with other children as he was too old now and he accepted that. they never came back again.

spirits cant hurt you and as someone else said, they will guide you and protect you, nothing to fear whatsoever.

Not at all Mick, it's a discussion...but by the same token saying 'no' in answer and nothing more doesn't exactly move it along much ;) Perhaps a ' i don't believe in them because to do so would negate the laws of physics'...or 'I don't believe because I've never seen one or had any positive proof' etc.

One word responses on threads are always a bit difficult to respond to ;)

Mick's first answer of 'no' was sufficient. I recognise that.

I was a young mum, it was September and a warm sunny day so my 5mth old daughter was outside the front door in her pram. I came in from checking her to find an old lady in my living room. I was indignant but before I could ask her, she looked over her glasses perched on the end of her nose and pursed her lips. I knew her then - my gran who died some 11 years previously. I grabbed bottles, baby food, nappies and dived out of the house, grabbed the pram and went to parents.

OH came home from work, no dinner, no wife, no baby, no note. I made an excuse to him about a big spider. Less than 4 weeks later my gran's son was dead. He was my father and died suddenly in my house. I never told anyone of this for many years.

Oh well - It seems that this is your typical GR thread where the only contibutions that are welcome are those that agree with the original poster's pre-conceptions.

I don't think Mick was 'knocking ' anything. It was a straightforward question - 'do you believe in ghosts?', and he said 'no'!! Which I also say - whether I'm right or wrong, nobody will ever know. There will always be those who believe and those who don't.

Do you not think without being or intending to be offensive lol, that it may be that 'those who can,do, and those who can't ridicule'? :)

For example I am still able to hear that pitch of sound that is higher than the average middle aged woman/man is supposed to be able to hear, ( you know like dog whistles that humans can't hear that type of thing) ..ie it is a sound wave...what if the 'ghost' or 'voices' are of an energy or sound wave that you can't pick up but others can?

is that so impossible to countenance, or does it have to be that because "I can't, no one can" ? lol

I know of two people who have seen the same 'ghost' in a particular location at different times unknown to each other till some thirty years later . Neither was of a nervy disposition, or given to the irrational and I can personally atest to the scrupulous honesty of both :)

Whether what they saw was an 'echo' of what had once been, or a departed person appearing I couldn't say. But that there IS sometimes a connection with something outside the norm is something i have experienced myself, and have excluded all rational, logical or emotional aspects to explain it.

When my 13 year old grandson was about 14 months old he was sat on the floor playing with his car.

And then he shuffled further into the corner of the room and he kept saying ""Here grandad play with my cars with me..""but there was no-one ther..my daughter (his Mum) and I looked at each other and said he is talking to his late grandad my hubby who had died in 1992 ,6 years before he was born.

i go to see a medium once a year & she's normal spot on & went only a few days again & i couldn't believe the things she was saying.at least 99% was right.

years ago i felt something holding me when i woke up,i still believe to this day it was my brothers spirit.

i often sence spirits around me & at times have smelt pipe smoke in the air when no one is around & have been told its my grandads way off telling me he's about ...even thought i new it was him.

my thoughts are they cant hurt you the living can...Ginnys rite normaly if you tell them to go away they will.also children & animals can normal sence them being around.

I have too many experiences to mention on here but two recent things that happened in my house i will tell you about.
Me and my partner had been in bed a few mins when something knocked loudly on our bedroom door(only us in house)
I was on getting ready for work one morning about 7.00am , alone in the house when i heard a woman and man whispering in my kitchen. so i am there phone in hand thinking surely i cant have burglars at this time and wondering whether to phone police lol.
