Your knitting looks more like a round of golf Marion.

You have to wonder why they never clothed their statues, maybe our Greek and Roman ancestors didn't knit. Julia Agrippina, if she had knitted her son Nero a toga with matching scarf, mittens and a tam-o-shanter to keep him warm there would have been no need for the fire.

My mother even knitted hot water bottle covers for us when I was young.

AnninGlos Report 15 Feb 2011 21:26

Maybe the thought of BC standing staring up at David will bring her back I was going to say 'pronto' but not sure that is Italian Lol!! Even though it sounds as if it should be.

Fuss!!! What fuss?

As said before this is a normal thread that discusses the merits of trees and all about knitting jumpers, cardigans etc (gives sheepish grin).

BC I am glad you chose the statue of David - I have always admired the works of Michelangelo and unlike is friend Leonardo he always managed to finish what he had started.

Julia you are required to be here at the finish of what was started.

I am pleased to see the thread is still jogging along nicely, but still no sign of Julia. *frets...I even brought back a small statue of 'David' from Florence, thought a tasteful nude would cheer her up. I think Persie is right, it must be her pc playing up. Ciao. BC XX

Even if our lovely Julia did see said thread she would still respond to PM s that have been sent to her. I am hoping it is the computer that has gone phut and that Julia is very much alright. I need her back on here even if it is just to say "please explain Perse"

I assume it was late at night that the thread turned nasty. Julia would not have seen it as she is never on the boards after about 6.30pm. And if she was voluntarily leaving because of that she would have said. It was aggravating and quarrelsome and petty bickering and the WUMs were out when I went to bed at about 10.30 so it must have been later if it was as bad as P Holly says.
