Sylvia what a lovely surprise and they sound gorgeous you are so lucky to have a husband that buys you flowers for no reason other than because he wants to. |

Well it is saturday once again and also Carnaval. The only trouble is that it is raining, just a good steady rain which would just soak you if you stayed out in it. Ooh, let me stay here indoors. I can just see all those partygoers dancing the streets in the rain, beer in hand and singing carnaval songs. My granddaughter is one of them, but then again she is young, but you have older men and women doing it too. |

Luckilt this didn't cost anything more than the magazine but it was the patience needed (which is in short supply here) with, I suppose it was paper piecinf. Lots of little fiddly bits to fit together. still it looks OK. Not worth the effort really though. |

YES!!!! at least you finished the card, I have several that I have started and gave up on half way through. Sometimes the picture looks fantastic and is described as being easy to make, well, some are just the opposite. I have bought kits from QVC which looked fantastic but when I got them home realised that I had made a mistake. Could open a shop with the crafting materials I do not use! Worst mistake for me was the Xyron Design Runner bought it when it first came out cost a fortune and because it was not demonstrated properly by DB on QVC just could not get it to put the image where I wanted it to go. Have watched the shows on C&C and with a much better demo know now how to work it properly. But still have not used it properly and I see that the basic machine is now being advertised for only £17.99 on C&C magazine. |

Anyone else ever made a card which seemed a good idea at the time? I spent all afternoon making a card from a template in Papercraft Inspirations. It actually turned out quite well but halfway through I did wish that I had never started it Lol!!!! |

Sounds like a good idea Heather, swapping cards and ATC's certainly give you inspiration and make you get down to get them completed. Halfway through my Feb ATC's need to work out a finish for them though. |

Christine and Jac in Aus have both escaped the terrible problems. Jacs house was safe when she returned to it, just some uprooted trees to sort out. The fires stopped 5 miles short of Christines house so she is also safe and well. Terrible problems they are having over there at the moment. |

Well the wind is still full force again today, bits of branches are now coming off the trees in the garden even the buzzard is sitting huddled in the tree and not attempting to fly. Not one bird in the garden which is so unusual hope they don't starve poor things. |

Hope you find the reason for not eating Sylvia. Can you drink those liquid meals just to give you energy? I have made a few easter cards over the weekend but we have been out and about a bit so not much time for crafting. |

Sylvia, sorry to hear that you are having difficulty eating, could it be you have a hiatus hernia, I know they stop you eating if they are really bad. Hope the hospital manage to get you sorted out very soon. Sounds like you are having a very good clear out, make sure you keep all your crafting goodies!! |

Well I gave my pile of Scotsman magazines to my pedicurist for her husband who is a Scotsman. Its nice to see where your things end up. The two boxes of Spanish and English cross stitch/embroidery magazines have been received with great pleasure. |

Gosh sylvia, that is a lot to lose, as Jo says, excuse for a new wardrobe. I hope you get your house soon, it will be much better for you both and easier to manage. Sad to have to get rid of things but it sounds as if they are going to bring pleasure to somebody else. |
