Must be a one off Jo if he lloves the vet. Every animal I have had has shaken all the time they were there. You must have a nice vet. Hope he is ok anyway.

Ann we have female vets and they are both lovely, but he has always been the same, he is just a thick dog and probably cannot remember (could be because she always gives him a treat! and he loves his food!). He is so big but never bothers even last time when they were taking blood samples, she shaved his leg and took the blood and he just stood still!! Today his jab made him bleed quite a lot but he still is licking her and his tail just never stopped wagging, then we get home and he goes straight back to his basket. Could only give him over cooked rice and scrambled eggs for his meal today and also tomorrow with more antibiotics. Still hopefully he will soon be back to his normal bouncing self.

I hope so Jo, sometimes animals seem to know that quiet and rest are the best healers.

Afternoon Ladies. Just finished making several cards for my daughter, all repeats of cards I have made before, so you would think it would be easy. Well, I started off by not bothering to get out my score board to fold the card, thought it would fold in half quite easy, well I was wrong, it creased the card, so that was the first error and then it went down hill from there!! Still all finished now and just off to Northampton to deliver them.
Have even made my ATC's Issy will be totally surprised when they arrive on time as I am always late! Just a couple of bits to put on my February cards so I am, I hope, up to date with all my cards.

Weather miserable here today, but at least it is not raining or foggy.

Hope you are all keeping well

Hope you have all had a lovely weekend. I have been staying at daughters to look after 3 grandchildren for three days whilst they were in London. Got back this morning and had son DIL and baby come for a late lunch. The have just gone, I have finished all the clearing up and put all the pots and pans away and am now just sitting here with a lovely cup of coffee, which I am not supposed to drink because of my vertigo!! Tomorrow off to Birmingham to look at a couple of jobs for Hubby, not something I normally do on my own, but he is tied up and I am free, lets hope I manage to find them both, hate driving in the centre of Birmingham but train is not practical as station no where near the two places.

Take care
Love Joxx

Jo I am sure it is tiring looking after the children and then having a meal to cook when you get home. still it is good to see the family isn't it. Hope the vertigo stays away after the illicit coffee. We have not seen Sylvia on here since the 13th I hope she is OK>

Ann I was also wondering where Sylvia was, she seemed a little down/worried on her last message, really hope she is OK.

Hallo all,
Yes, I'm back, just been busy and seem to get from one muddle into another. I've been clearing out my bedroom cupboards today with my help. I've now to go through some boxes.
Last week we had an interview to be placed on the list for a protected house where there is medical help available at all hours of the day and night. Tomorrow another girl is coming tomorrow to see how our memories are. I have now lost 20 kilos in weight. I had several pairs of pants/trousers which I was going to make larger and now have to make smaller.
Yesterday my granddaughter drove us to Eindhoven (her mother, my daughter) and we spent a lovely day there. Janet had a lovely lunch waiting for us and we had dinner before we left. As soon as I got into the car I fell asleep and woke up here in Almere.
I had a job to wake up this morning but Johan woke me up.
I have started selling unwanted articles on Marktplaats (a bit like EBay) I have sold lots of my English and Spanish magazines cross stitch, embroidery etc.- 75 copies in all. This was something that I was surprised at selling. I am also giving away things that I think somebody else would like, such a bundle of Scots magazines 1975/6/7. I am going to give these to my pedicure's husband, who is a Scotsman. Trying to think of someone for Family History.
Our collection of records, record player, etc.etc must all go as our house won't be large enough to house them. Most importnt is the computer and my cardmaking things.
So you can see I'm not sitting doing nothing.
My neighbour wanted 6 cards from me, so managed to make these inbetween.
Now am thinking of you all, even though I haven't always time to post.
No birthdays at all in February so am pleased to have the rest.

Sylvia you are lucky I have so many birthdays in February and also 2 nieces with babies due this month, so have new baby cards to make as well. The house you hope to move to sounds lovely, but it is difficult to move from a house you have lived in for some time. Still will be nice when you have settled in. You have lost lots of weight, you will need a new wardrobe of clothes!
I am off now to make the baby cards and also my daughters birthday card, have just finished my sister in laws and also a card for my niece, both have birthdays this week,
Lovely and sunny here today and not as cold as yesterday.
Take care

Gosh sylvia, that is a lot to lose, as Jo says, excuse for a new wardrobe. I hope you get your house soon, it will be much better for you both and easier to manage. Sad to have to get rid of things but it sounds as if they are going to bring pleasure to somebody else.

Well I gave my pile of Scotsman magazines to my pedicurist for her husband who is a Scotsman. Its nice to see where your things end up. The two boxes of Spanish and English cross stitch/embroidery magazines have been received with great pleasure.
Now lost another couple of kilos in weight. I am going to a specialist when they have sorted out where and when. I just cannot eat, even things which I loved before.
I didn't go to the market today as the market stall holders were warned of the storm which passed over here today. It's too cold for me.
Have a nice weekend

Sylvia, sorry to hear that you are having difficulty eating, could it be you have a hiatus hernia, I know they stop you eating if they are really bad. Hope the hospital manage to get you sorted out very soon. Sounds like you are having a very good clear out, make sure you keep all your crafting goodies!!
We have had a gale blowing for the last couple of days, yesterday it was difficult to stand up straight, not quite so bad today thank goodness.

Hope you find the reason for not eating Sylvia. Can you drink those liquid meals just to give you energy? I have made a few easter cards over the weekend but we have been out and about a bit so not much time for crafting.

Well the wind is still full force again today, bits of branches are now coming off the trees in the garden even the buzzard is sitting huddled in the tree and not attempting to fly. Not one bird in the garden which is so unusual hope they don't starve poor things.
Bad back has stopped me from going over to daughters in Northampton today worried about being able to break suddenly if I needed to as bit slow moving leg!! Think I will sit and make some cards, good idea Ann to start with Easter cards only have a few to make.

Christine and Jac in Aus have both escaped the terrible problems. Jacs house was safe when she returned to it, just some uprooted trees to sort out. The fires stopped 5 miles short of Christines house so she is also safe and well. Terrible problems they are having over there at the moment.
