Mornin' All ,
Pretty as a picture postcard here today. Covering of snow all around, after yesterday's deluge. Lovely blue sky's, but very cold.
The OH managed to get his German tank built chariot off the drive this morning to fetch the papers, but had to pour boiling water on the gates as they were frozen.
I am listening to the local radio for weather updates, as it seems to be all around us today. The OH is contemplating going to Lincolnshire over this weekend, on a 'mission', but needless to say, I shall not be accompanying him.
Glad you managed to get to your 'do' Ann, and got safely back home.

inch of sow which fell last night and froze
FROZEN water on roads and NO GRIT

dont go out !!!

Frost here think it was -2 instead of the -4 we were promised, we were out last night and the pub car park was sheet ice at 11pm but the roads had been gritted so were fine. No snow since a flurry yesterday afternoon.

We have a few inches of snow here in South Wales.
Roads are reported to be trecherous.

Home after going to a concert in Farnham Surrey, hence the late add.
Had snow flurries this afternoon, but too damp to settle.
Car now covered in globes of ice, looks like it is covered in rain.Must be just around freezing.
Roads clear at present.

The white stuff is here in North Wales (11.50pm) ! big flakes at the moment.........so shopping may be a no go in the morning!

Windy and wet here now after quite a pleasant afternoon, during which I managed to get all my cards delivered to neighbours in the street. Trcky business, with two sticks carrying a carrier bag of cards, up and down steps, but got it all done in half an hour and then went for a lie down!
Temp outside, 2.8 at 7.25 pm.

Cardiff - rain most of the day, windy and very cold - no snow as yet!!!

Just had a very short snow shower, layed on rooves and grass but not on paths.

Been snowing all day and it is quite deep .Very strong winds which is causing the snow to bank .They think it will get worse over the next 8 days .!!!!

Beans on toast for xmas this year I think !!!

7:00am damp, but no frost today.
Looks clear so far too.
The fog lasted til midday yesterday so that's an improvement.

Clear skies, almost half moon, son had to defrost his car to come home at 10pm.
Has been a 'sweltering' 3 degrees this afternoon....went out briefly without a scarf !! Tho it was snowing finely at 9am.
Tomorrow will be another 'scorcher ' I expect , before we get the white stuff again on Thurs.

Time, 5. 15.pm Temp 5.1 outside, all frost and snow gone except in a few places where it had been piled at the side of the road. Clear all the way to hereford via Allensmore this morning. Still raw and cold though.

Bit darkish here, with bits of blue sky.

Someone washed their 4 cars yesterday and the water froze, its still frozen and dodgy!!

Other than that its fine here, abit warmer too.

Very dark and murky here in Derbyshire. At least the snow has gone, but driving through the countryside yesterday, it was still in the hedge bottoms. In the supermarket car-parks, there are still big mounds in the corners, where it has been removed from the surfaces, also in our local B & Q.
Weather lad on local radio this morning says by Thursday the temperatures are going to drop again at least, and we could have some more.
I saw in the papers the other day that we could have more snow over the Christmas period. I wonder what we will get in January and February, then??

10th Dec, 7.15pm. Temp outside, 2.7. The frost has shifted from almost everywhere except in the shade. Hoping it will stay like this for a few days at least. Need to go shopping and get some cards and presents.
