Snow overnight here - couple of inches or so. The sun is out and it's very pretty. We have escaped the worst so far, as we are in a 'pocket' between the Mendips and Salisbury Plain and often miss heavy snow/rain and storms. |

Hello Ann of GG....so pleased the funeral was able to go ahead. What a terrible time for them, let alone with this added weather. |

Here in South Wales ( just below the Brecon Beacons) we have had about 12-14 inches overnight and throughout the day. Even the main roads were a no go zone this morning and only 4x4 type vehicles travelling. |

well the funeral went ahead in a real snowstorm - we have had over a foot of snow now, roads closed all over the area with abandoned vehicles and promise of more snow to come tonight - absolutely freezing |

The roads further over in the valleys are bad, lots of hold ups on the roads, but we have had only a smattering of snow which mostly disappeared in the afternoon sun. Forecast isnt good though. Temp outside, 0.9, inside 15.8. Guess where I am stopping ! |

Cardiff - we have had a shedload here and it's still coming down - been snowing for about seven hours now - disastrous because next door neighbour's funeral this morning = already the mountain road has been closed between the crematorium exit and Caerphilly and the post funeral refreshments are in a hotel in that patch of the road - the crematorium is also on that road but whether they will close it further I have no idea - the church service and crem are still happening according to the funeral home but of course this could all change as there is no let up at all. The coffin is in the house so things are pretty awful all round |
