Morning Gals, It is so cold here I have me jeans on, ontop of my jamy bottoms. Snowing again now, and forecasted to continue. Tonight the temperature is forecasted to drop to -7 to -10. Have heard the weather man say that in parts of Scotland last night, it was -22.
Take Care all, and try and keep warm

PS. The OH has been unable to move his German tank built chariot off the drive, and besides, he does not want to risk someone going into him. Around here, translates that they are probably not insured. LOL

My old man's due to go to hospital tomorrow at 11 am for an operation on his hand - he's been waiting for months. Hospital's 25 mins away, we probably won't be able to drive, the way things are looking outside, and trains probably won't be running. It's sod's law. He's pretty p'd off, but I keep telling him these things happen for a reason. What will be will be.

It's been horrendous here for a week or so. The sand on the beach is covered in snow, we've had spectacular thunder storms over the sea on a nightly basis - which have been magnificent to watch, but crap to be out in - and it's freezing, and snowing, again.

Funny, that, Mau - the weather forecast said "on the one hand, it could be cold", so I wore one glove ......

Here in South Yorks we have 14" of snow no buses no school. I have a lovely ski suit and am as warm as toast for dog walkies. However, jack russell gets lost in snow and springer gets snowballs on his legs and is weighted down and it makes my gluteal muscles ache. lol.Elaine.

Snow coming down thick and fast near Channel coast....The most we've had so far and it's already building up on the ground.. Earlier the main coastal road was completely clear, but side roads are like sheets of glass.
M20 has Operation Stack where the lorries are held on the motorway while waiting to cross to France.
Seems to be getting worse here by the minute.

I'm very sad to hear that the annual Christmas Market in Lincoln has been cancelled. It brings so much revenue to the local economy with traders from across Europe and the local shops and hotels gaining.

There are even steam train excursions from north and London. There will be nothing for the trippers to see, if the trains can still run.

I suppose it is sensible to cancel the event as Lincoln isn't a place to be with icy roads, but what a loss to the locals.

Annina, I hear the Derbyshire Mountain Rescue team are on alert. What stupid people would go out hill walking in this lot, endangering not only their own lives but those of the rescuers.

Nearly three ft deep and horizontal blizzard falling out of the east.

What fun we have! There are still idiots trying to drive through it,getting stuck and causing even more chaos.

Come and live in sunny Sheffield.

Wolverhampton. Had a little more covering overnight, roads were clear and the sky clear early this morning. During the morning, we have had a steady flurry throughout but seems to have held off now although the sky is white so more on the way, I expect. Have been told not far away in Stafford they have about one foot deep and still falling and that it is very slippy. If you have to drive, take care and pack a hot flask and warm coat should you get held up with cars being abandoned!
