A very windy morning here today, my cat Sid is goping balistic! he loves windy weather, he is chasing leaves around the garden as they fall off the tree, its hysterical to watch, he is such a time waster but I don't mind.

I am no where near ready for Christmas, I do have a large order to put in for grocery shopping shortly online, just hope OH doesn't moan that I've spent too much :-0
The trouble is, everything has become so expensive, I think we will have to draw our horns in on the food this year and not be extravagant like we usually are.

Hi

Just poping in for abit.
Got back home last night. Well Teri has a very stressfull week with getting kitchen cleared.
She didnt sleep last night with it all on her mind.They are to phone her each day to tell her if coming am or pm.She had to phone them this morning to find out as didnt phone at 8 like they should have. Thats not a good start. And only doing morning or afternoon,so going to take at least 2 weeks to get it all done.

I have now got to start packing my bits as will be having my flat decorated in a weeks time. So this week got to get rest of my xmas things sortted,cards posted. And i am not in the mood to do any of it. I have gasman coming to do gas check this morning.So cant go out until he has been.

I havent read any of threads yet.Will do later

So cold out Barbra feeling it this past week or two,
what am I going to do when it's really cold. :-(
Windy last night kept waking me up, not that I sleep
much anyway, be glad when I see rheumatologist and
get my meds sorted out.

Barbra, the bush-fire is the ONLY topic on the local radio at the moment. Warnings are still in place and some areas have just been advised that it is now to late to evcate homes and anyone still in the area is being advised to shelter in any room likely to be furthest away from where any fire is likely to hit.

To late to leave either on foot or by car!!

Daughter is getting there bit by bit.

I don't know about renewing our vows: OH may want to push me overboard :-|

The chiropodist, Emma? Dancing classes?

What a difference a few days make. In a recent post I said that the weather was still mild. Well, no lomger. The temps are now hitting the mid-thirties :-0

This has brought its own problems

Yesterday and the day before were also very windy. One of our State Government Departments decided to have a "controlled" burn. These burns are done to decrease the fuel load in National Parks.

Needless to say, the controlled burn became out of control and at the last count 20 properties had been totally destroyed. Margaret River is a major wine producing area and is well within a day's drive for us. We frequently visit there.

Someone will be in trouble!!!

Now a bit of good news. OH and I have booked a holiday for early next year. WE have been interested in doing a cruise but did not wish to commit to a long one in case we didn't like it..no going home early! :-D

A local travel agent was offerring a trip with a difference: we travel on the Indian Pacific Train from Perth to Adelaide. This journey involves two nights on the train in Gold Service class with our own fully contained sleeper cabin and with excellent meals (A few years ago my OH and daughter travelled back to Perth from Sydney onthe same train and the same class so we know what to expect)

We then have two full days in Adelaide, which neither of us have been to, and then join a ship cruising from Adelaide to Fremantle, a cruise of about six days.

That should either whet our appetites, or put us off cruising for good :-D

I'm not a good sailor :-(

Am almost there re Xmas, still some stocking fillers to get,
but big pressies bought and wrapped. Need some new
decorations, so will be having a look for some soon. Love
