Hello all

Continued hot yesterday, we reached 41.5c :-(

2011 is going out with a bang, literally. Whilst going for my walk this morning I was entranced by all the lightning which was taking place. No thunder during the early part of my walk, but as I got further away from home the thunder started so I knew that the storms were getting closer. As some of you may know I go walking very early (3.00am) so the lightning displays were spectacular.

However, just as I was nearly home, walking near the foreshore there was an almighty flash of lightning accompanied by the loudest crack of thunder that I've heard for many years. It sounded like the crack of doom.

I could also hear the lightning crackle through the air.

It has been a strange week for heavenly sights.

Christmas Eve morning, again going for my walk I saw what I thought must be a searchlight beam shining vertically upwards. When I got home and read the paper I realised that it was in fact the tail of Comet Lovejoy.

Although the comet itself has not yet made an appearance, the tail has been prominent all week! Below is a link to an article about the comet for those who may be interested

Santa left one lousy present here in WA....hot weather!! :-|

Yesterday the temp reached 39.9c. Even the official temp of 37c was 2 degrees higher than forecast. At 8.00 pm last night it was still 31c and not a breath of wind.

This morning at 4.00am we were down to 23c

The air-con was working overtime and if the high temps continue we can expect power cuts as the demand soars :-(

Other than that, nothing to complain about :-D

Back home until Thursday then back to Teris few another few days.

Cant say i had a good christmas long story. But making most of being back home.
Saw twins yesterday and you can see by picture they doing well.Tried to get one of all grand kids but as always dont want to have it taken.

I have my son Duanes laptop for awhile.

Open some of our gift got lots more to open. Duane,his grilfriend,Arron and twins coming to Teris tomrrow. So will have more to open then.

I've been awake since 4-45.Got up and put beef in oven ready for tomorrow.
Soup is on for taking over to sons house later.

Grandson got a new phone for xmas so he has been texing me since 6am lol.
Grandad still in bed.....grumpy.

Yes, fine wearher is expected. Sunny and hot (29C). Kids coming over for breakfast soon.

We will have turkey salad for lunch, but cook the turkey outside. I'll do a potato salad to go with it.
