Hi Barbra

Bags not yet packed: a couple of trousers to press, and one new pair to alter.

Oz sizes mean that my waist size requires about six inches cutting of the legs, of the trousers that is!!

Oh for the good old days of M&S where you could buy trousers with various waist and inside leg sizes. Whilst not a perfect fit, they were wearable without alterations :-|

Hello all.

My apologies for not posting more regularly :-(

How are the twins, Hazel? I do hope that they are on the road to recovery.

Weather still very hot here at the moment. It was still 27c when I got back from my walk at 4.00am this morning. Temps are forecast to keep increasing and on Australia Day (26th Jan) we are expecting a max of 38c. As our temps here are always acouple of degrees higher we can expect 40c.

Fortunately for OH and myself we are heading down to Albany for a few days, on that day. As Albany is on the south coast it is always much cooler. My daughter will be spending that period at our house to look after the various animals that we have garnered.

We now have two Guinea Pigs which the children of my daughter's partner were no longer looking after. We find that the straw and droppins are great in the compost or as a direct mulch round the plants.

Last Thursday, just as we were about to turn on the air conditioning there was a knock on the door. It was the electrician who carried out the upgrade on our meter box just before Christmas.

The work had been inspected by the Main Power Company and was found not to comply with the Regulations and so required modification (at no charge to us). Two hours later we were able to switch on the air con :-)

That night I went to a Lodge meeting and the hall was stifling. Some members had to leave.

I think that we are going to have to look for somewhere cooler to live!

Tasmania is looking very attractive :-D

Morning everyone, hope you're all going to have a good day. I am off to mums shortly for my normal friday visit as I don't see her over the weekend very often.
Thanks Marion, I didn't realise until yesterday I had deleted the photo of my hens and forgot to add another one, so I thought I'd stick my pic on. I must admit I like to know what people look like too.

Hi Barbra, My asthma I had as a child, it started before I was a year old, I had pneumonia twice before I was a year old and then asthma from then on. My cat doesn't bother me provided I don't brush him, if I do I always cover my nose and mouth as I also do when I do my hens, but my mum has long haired cats and they do irritate my nose.
Its mostly ciggie smoke, house dust and air pollution, especially in the summer. grass mowing and tree pollen also drives me mad and makes me wheeze.

Dolly Report 19 Jan 2012 07:32

Morning Barbra, Hazel, Emma, Joan, Marion, Allan,
I hope everyone is well?

Hazel sorry to read about the twins again and that your son has depression, I hope he improves with his meds and that the twins are coping ok, fingers crossed there health improves as they put on weight and grow.
It must be wonderful to have twins in the family, my husbands side have twins, but thank goodness it wasn't me that had any, but hopefully when my sons have children, twins will appear, don't twins miss a generation then reappear? or is that an old wives tail?

Its very mild here today and yesterday, 11C. a bit damp under foot.
My poor Sid has an eye infection, I had to take him to the vets last night, he has conjunctivitis, he has been in a cat fight, and got scratched although his eyeball hasn't been scratched that the vet can see. The trouble with Sid i,s he doesn't want to fight, he wants to rough play, the other cats think he wants a fight, this is what happens when kittens are taken away from there mums too soon and they don't learn from mum how to behave.

WW was a disaster again yesterday, I haven't been very good at calculating my intake and have been guessing, so its no suprise I added 1 1/2lbs to my weight, after losing 2lbs last weeek, so yesterday I counted everything that I ate or drank, fingers crossed for a good weight loss next week :-)

I had a lovely suprise yesterday, my brother I haven't seen for 3 years came in to see me, he didn't stay too long but had a cuppa and a chat, it was smashing to have a one to one with him, not done that it probably 20 years or more.

I have to go to asthma clinic this morning, my usual yearly check although I don't think my asthma is as under control as I'd like as I've had a couple of small attacks recently.

have a fab day all of you.

Yes Marion it is they chest again, but were check today and said they getting better now.

Why cant you copy and paste on here now.I have wrote something out that want to put on here but not letting me do it.

Its about man who came today and about my son.

Well man came and walked in said he was here about leak, checking all the rads he said want to see boiler tokk him out to shed he looked at a pipe coming out the wall said thats where leak is and put a plastic bag over it and said he be back Monday to check it,then walked off so i shouted out to him as you didnt ask if i will be here Monday,if i am not you will have to come round long way to check it.Didnt reply and carried on walking away.So Teri is going to write to head office and tell them whats going on.

Got call from my son(twins dad)saying his depresstion is back, been to doctors has been put on tablets again and said he may have to go into hospital again for a week or so.Got to go back Thrusday to see doctor. He had been doing so well went back to work and things were good for him.
