Morning everyone: :-D as you can see I am back :-D
I hope everyone is bearing up well? I see that Marion has started Christmas shopping, I must admit I have been looking around as we have a few to buy for, 3 children 34, 25 and 23, son in law, 36, my mum and father in law, and of course my cousin, no mum in law this year as she passed away in Feb. it will be our first Christmas without her around the dinner table, we have had my in laws to dinner every year since being married, my mum has only just started to come to us since my sister moved away and mum has been ill, luckily (or is that unlucky :-S) they all live in the same road as me and hubby

I had a fab time in London especially the Eye, I did enjoy it even though it gave me slight vertigo when I got near the edge and looked down lol, weather was pretty good too, not too hot.
I went to Eastbourne on the Tuesday as my cousin had to visit her solicitor, long story about her solicitor in Eastbourne, it is where she grew up and her father ran a business, same solicitor, so she has stuck with them, well that’s the basics of it all.
I haven't ever been to E bourne to shop or anything since I was a child visiting said cousin as a 5 year old, so don't really remember much about the place.
I did buy a new coat for myself and spent a lot of time hunting around for one.
we walked along the seafront be it slowly as we both use sticks and she is some 26 years older than me, but we managed it, we had a lovely fish and chip supper before heading home on the 7pm train.
I must admit I do hate London, the crowds and the stink of car exhausts; I live out in a little village and enjoy the fresh air and misty mornings at this time of year. Its always so bright from street lights at night in London, we don’t have any here once it gets to midnight. I suppose its what you’re used to.

Not ignoring you all :-).It's a lovely day so I'm washing some heavy things ie throws and dressing gowns etc, and getting them out to dry while I can.
Also got things to do in the garden.got to make the most off a nice day.

Joan....Thats sad about your sister. I hope the kids coped with it all.no shopping not all done lol

I hope that every one is keeping well. OH and I have been working on the front garden recently. Spent today digging up grass which had gone ferral! the problem is that it spreads by runners, and if you don't get all the roots out it's back again :-(

My mind may be that of a twenty year old but, crikey, my body ain't!!

I got a splinter in my finger a couple of weeks ago whilst chopping wood. Today I got a splinter in exactly the same spot from the handle of the shovel.

It bl**dy hurt and my finger is now throbbing :-(
