Allan Report 6 Sep 2011 11:48

Hi all,

Emma, it probably didn't make the news in the UK, but a penguin, normally resident in Antartica, washed up in New Zealand,

After rehabilitation, he was called 'Happy Feet' and put onboard a Research Vessel going down to Antartica.

Lowered into the sea, just off Antartica, he immediately turned round and started swimming back in the direction of New Zealand :-0

The story (or part of it) is here:

Dolly Report 7 Sep 2011 05:28

Morning everyone,
I hope you're all bearing up under this horrid weather, I really don't know how you people in Scotland can stand the rain, wind and dull weather, I've had one really bad day here and its already depressing me. I ended up drawing the curtains because I couldn't stand looking at it.

My furniture arrived yesterday in all that horrendous rain as did the new doors for all the upstairs rooms and the window board, the only thing to do now to finish the bedroom is, to put the window board in , new hooks for curtain tie backs and a picture or two on the walls, hubby and I are off at the weekend to Dunelm to have a look around, we haven't been to one of there stores before, but I have had a look online, hopefully I can find something nice to hang on my walls.

The 5th September was my daughters 34th Birthday, I haven't seen her since January, hopefully we can drive up to see her before the weather gets too bad.

Have a great day.

Morning all.

I remember being in someones house, they had just moved and there was a fish pond.A heron just picked them off one by one.I dont know what the answer is to protecting them..What scares herons? windmills,an other heron ornament, a gnome with a gun lol

Pretty wet here. Had planned doing more in the garden but i think we are going for a swim instead....if I can move myself.

Talking of bulbs any of you know what kind I could get for a very damp area along side a burn.Doesnt get a lot of sun.
