Allan Report 19 Apr 2011 09:57

Hello to all from a sunny but cooler WA (thank goodness)

Barbra, I saw you comments on my Ethics Thread but didn't respond as I got tied up with something else.

Our Easter break is five days as ANZAC day falls on Easter Monday so Tuesday 26th April is now an official national holiday.

Traffic will be chaotic down here as people from Perth head south for the long break. As usual OH and myself will be staying put as there will be too many lunatics on the road. Also, over Public Holiday periods, double demerit points are in force for driving offences.

Emma, unfortunately I'm more of a cat person than a doggy one. However that does not prevent me from appreciating dogs as we had a Yorkshire Terrier when I was younger. It was my parent's pooch.

regards

Allan

Hi all.

No not camping Barbra, just had a few things to do,plus this PC is on a go slow. Not got round to getting a new one yet.
I'm glad your weather is a it better now Allan. We had rain in the night, sunny today but it is now cloudy....could rain.

I like all animals but like Allan I'm more of a cat person. In saying that I used to borrow dogs to take on sponsered walks for the SSPCA.

Did you see in the news about the dogs in China? :(( At least some have been saved.

Yes ready for duty tomorrow Emma lol

Hello all

Barbra, I remember Rivington Pike. When I had just qualified as an Environmental Health Officer in the UK back in 1970 I was fortunate to get a post with the then Macclesfield Rural District Council. The council covered a fantastic area including Wildboarclough, Wincle, Gawsworth and the area around Alderley Edge. It was a very scenic area and we bought our first house in Bollington after living in Council accommodation in Macclesfield Forest.

Marion, my apologies! I never enquired after your grand-daughter; I trust that all is well.

Emma. OH is making progress all be it slowly. She can now get up and down the stairs. We went shopping on Monday and that caused her some pain and drained her energy. But it is only a week after the operation so only to be expected
