Rose Germany make all the swing roundabouts ect
in all our british parks
the EEC say we should have theirs
why cant our factories make our own
and german inspectors come over here every year to stress test them
at our cost why cant somebody here do it
The Germans make sure the EEC benefits them
i think its time to tell them we can no longer afford them

I do think what everyone tends to forget is that this is not just the UK in a mess, all European economies (and USA) are trying to struggle out of recession.

it had an article on the news that Germany is doing rather better because its imports ( cars/engineering) are recovering well and nearly back at the level of before the crash.

i don't know how correct it is that we import twice as much as we export?

Perhaps we should take to the streets to make our objections heard :)

knowing this country was nearly bankrupt

if the labour government had got back in

JoyBoroAngel Report 22 Oct 2010 20:13

Joy - on the point of foreign workers claiming their tax back - this may be of interest!

http://www.richmondandtwickenhamtimes.co.uk/news/8258237.Ukrainian_gang_behind_bars/

That's only one group - how many haven't been caught?

I'm still intrigued about how people (including MP's) living in this country with offshore bank accounts aren't hauled before the courtd - tax evasion is illegal!!!

FootieAngel

FootieAngel Report 22 Oct 2010 20:12

fair enough S&P on that note though they may not be but their children may be

FootieAngel

FootieAngel Report 22 Oct 2010 20:11

the kids ar then penalised Joy. It is amazing the amount of forms they bring to us to fill in and yes we can help as far as transitions is concerned. I have to say though some parents don't because they can't read or write.

Footie, my idea of a "foreigner" is someone who isnt a British Citizen!!

StrayKitten

StrayKitten Report 22 Oct 2010 20:09

isnt that what the EMA is for, help with books and learning tools

and most college students if they qualify depending on parents earning get cheap bus passes, if there parents earn to much they dont get the help, as its deemed they dont "need" it

FootieAngel

FootieAngel Report 22 Oct 2010 20:09

if the parents are to lazy to fill the forms in
then they should get nothing its common sense

i lived in a prefab when i was born until i was 3
my family loved it

Rambling

Rambling Report 22 Oct 2010 20:07

Prefabs...pre-fabricated houses footie, introduced after WW2 as affordable housing, intended to be temporary built of panels basically.

I don't actually think there is an overall shortage of housing, what there is is a shortage of affordable housing suited to need. Rents round here ( W Midlands ) have apparently risen at a rate only second to London. Rents are way out of proportion to the sale prices. There is a huge amount of negative equity for a mortgage holders.

FootieAngel

FootieAngel Report 22 Oct 2010 20:05

tbf Stray I agree but then there is a large number who can't be bothered to even fill the forms in. I'm taking about help with such things as transport and/or travel training buss passes etc.
