Will let you know if I hear more but only get info from Mac through emails, daren't phone him at home as it might cause some bother and if he is poorly he won't be able to get to a computer. Don't know if he will ask his son? to make contact to keep us posted but hopefully he will be his usual stubborn self and get well enough to come back and talk to us again, very soon.

If you are reading these messages Mac, get well soon.

And another message, also on Newcastle meet thread.....

Hi Liz,

Could you do another posting for me, please

On the Newcastle meet held today

I am gutted !! Yesterday I filled my car's tank, got some photos out and set the alarm for 8am and when I woke up after only about 2 hours fitful sleep, I felt very unwell and too poorly to get out of bed

It was my intention to turn up at the meet unannounced and see if anyone could put a name to me, although I did meet Stray a few years ago at a Manchester meet

I'm sorry everyone that I couldn't carry out my plan.........Maybe another time !!

Mac.......The Old Geezer

Thanks Pet xxx

Further info from Mac...

Update on De Uvver arf.....Friday afternoon

Seen doctor and she has done well, But still Anaemic

Oh dear !! she has cleared her to drive again AND she can fly, she's looking at all the holiday lists already,

today is Saturday 1825 and so far she has not been out in her car since seeing the Doctor

Think she is a bit nervous about it

I'm not looking forward to her holiday plans, I dont want to die abroad, I've had enough travelling, equivilent to 20 plus times around the world is enough for me

Whats it like in Skegness, Bognor or Morecambe, even "SOWFEND" maybe

Dont ya feel, sorry for me ??

Middle of the night over here Liz
but am willing to nudge..... I think Mrs Mac has improved out of sight... LOL

Joking aside, she is doing very well, now if we can just get Mac's aches and pains sorted as well they will be whizzing around.

Take care lovely Liz and as Sandie says we do notice but don't always say so.

Cheers Persey

Maybe someone will nudge this during the day please and the Chat one too

The point I am trying to make is that I add to the thread in the early hours and sometimes add new threads at that time, as not on in the daytime much, but whereas a while back people would check back, now no one seems to and so people don't see the news about Mac and his wife.

That's the reason I added this thread as well as adding to Keith's thread on Chat about Mac.

Sometimes they don't see both...some don't look on General, as others don't look on chat.

Mac forwarded a joke to me earlier yesterday so I replied asking how things are and here's the response which looks good to me! For tomorrow afternoon, read today!

"She's off to the doctors tomorrow afternoon for a check up and also to see if she can drive again, her eyes are much better and with slight movements of her head she has full vision.

Her distance vision is now much better than before the stroke and would pass the test for a Pilots License, she now has no need to wear driving glasses, just tinted to cut out the glare

She now only needs her reading sight to return to normal and she will be galavanting out everywhere

Dont think they will want her to fly just yet, but she is waiting for our "adopted Stewardess Daughter" to get her a ticket to Australia in January.

So she is keeping "everything" crossed

Best wishes to all on GR

Mac........The Old Geezer xxxxxxxxx (for the girls)"

Keep up the good work Mac and Mrs Mac
