Hi Liz, Wife appears to be somewhat better, she still has problems with her left side vision, but she says that her long distance vision has improved I took her for a four mile walk yesterday and she managed it, but she has to wear very dark sunglasses because the sun hurts her eyes, even on a dull day, to her it is sunny She did better than me on the walk, although it was on the flat, i was kn***ered when I got home I'm not too well at the moment, The Pseudomonas (Superbug) has returned so I'm back on strong Antibiotics again, I also have Earache, Toothache, an Eye infection, Bladder infection and a lorra pain in my right lung I've been on the Antibiotics for 3 days now and some of these are improving Makes a change Mac
Seems Mrs M is worried she will have another stroke but I am sure the docs have her on meds that will prevent this happening. Hope she feels lots better soon and that Mac does too, I expect the worry of each other's health problems doesn't help either of them

LATEST UPDATE:
I got her out of the house today wearing sunglasses, the sun hurts her eyes, I took her to Scarborough for a SHORT walk round some shops. We did our shopping at Poundland, had a Cornish Pastie from Thomas the Bakers, bought a few things at Matalan She spent all my money and we came home !!! She really enjoyed it, I think she has stopped worrying about having another stroke now and appears to be getting a bit better She has another 3 weeks to find out if she can drive again, if not, it will be looked at every month from then on All my love to everyone and back to the book Mac xxxxx
______
I do hope Mrs Mac improves as time goes on, and she will be able to drive eventually, even if not straight away.
Best take her to somewhere with no shops next time Mac, you will be skint lol
love to you both

Mac, You must not blame yourself for not taking Mrs Mac to A@E on Friday, if her condition had been diagnosed on Saturday treatment could have started earlier. It does show the importance of the role of eye specialists and the high street optitions who are experts in picking up many illnesses from a simple eye test, often people of my age and younger dont have regular check ups unless they have the need for glasses and it is important. My best wishes to your wife and any future probs go straight to A@E or GP and dont leave till you get the answers you want:)

Message from The Old Geezer Mrs Mac is OK at present, no more attacks, no pains in the head, but her eyesight is still giving her problems, she is doing her own Physio to try and get the undamaged part of her brain to take over the damaged part She is playing her Zither to get her eyes scanning the wires, the more she scans, the sooner she may drive again The shame is that firstly I didnt take her to A&E on the friday night, secondly the "Idiot" Junior Doctor didnt recognise it as a Stroke even though I told them I thought it was, and thirdly she was given an appointment at the eye clinic on the following Wednesday (3 days later) who straightaway told her it was a stroke and took her straight up to the Acute Stroke Unit She would have had a better chance of seeing properly again with immediate treatment Mac xxx It's a good job I'm a bit hard of hearing
___________
Mac, it's so bad that your wife's stroke wasn't recognised immediately, I hope you will make a complaint, so that junior doc gets told what to look for next time. I am glad your wife is made of strong stuff like you and is trying to play her zither to help herself get back to normal. Good luck to her, I bet you are a real stubborn pair aren't you lol? Or do I mean determined ?
Take care of yourself and Mrs Mac, don't want the stress causing you to be unwell again.

How I wish I was nearer, I would type up Mac's books for him and enjoy reading all about his life at the same time.

If we keep this nudged, Mac can read the messages when he gets online, I am sending him the thread title so he can find it but if we keep it on page 1 it won't take him long to notice it.

So, it's a "meet at Mac's" to do all the jobs, is it?! Hope Mrs Mac is on the mend and that you are also feeling better. As Rose says, feed and look after yourselves (and the pet tiger, if it's anything like my cats, you won't be able to ignore it anyway!) and forget the rest of the work as it will all still be there when we're long gone.

Hello Mac my o h says you can borrow me for a week to do all those jobs that Mrs. Mac usually does.
To Mrs. Mac Just goes to show who keeps the home going.Keep your feet up and don't fret ,he will manage (eventually) and you can have a good chuckle watching him. In fact you might like to let us all know of his managing !!!!! we could do with a laugh

Just take care Mac, don't go overdoing things lol, writing that list must have been so tiring .....lol
Have you got a local Scout group nearby who would come and do some errands or gardening etc? Or maybe a church group who could find you some helpers, don't mention the sex bit to them tho lol they might get the wrong idea lol
Hope Mrs Mac is feeling better each day
