It would be brilliant to meet you lot.

I live in Marsden, but Newcastle sounds like the best bet?

(maybe not platform 1 at Central Station Kay!)

Hello Elizabeth. Lovely place Alnwick, hubby's ancestors are all from the area.
I have been to quite a few GR meet up's over the past few years and they have all been really great. I can honestly say everyone I have met has been really nice.
Yes, it is a little nerve wrecking at first, but well worth the effort I can assure you.

Will see what Susan thinks as it is her idea.

I'm up near Alnwick, rather deaf and arthritic but would certainly be interested (though might chicken out!)

Sorry, no.

Far too old to go to the Park.

Used to go to lots of dances there (and the place that burned down) in my younger days - a long time ago!!!

I live 10 minutes walk away from the Park Hotel. Went in there the other night, they have done it up a bit. But service is very slow at the bar and pricey too.

If there is a 'meet up' nearby shall you attend?

Hi Robert, don't think I have spoken to you before. Have not been on here for months. Do you live in Tynemouth?

Hi Jenny,

Very choppy on the sea front at Tynemouth at the Moment.

Hi Julia and Stray. xx

I would be quite happy to organise another Newcastle or Tynemouth meet up. It's a bit cold and rough up here in Tynemouth at the mo, but for those that would like to be by the seaside, there are plenty of places that could accommodate us. Plenty of pubs and food prices are pretty reasonable.

Hi yes I'm up for one :O)

There have been several in the past, though I couldn't make the Gateshead trip 2007
A big one was organised by Jenny for Gaynor bear,at Tynemouth.I was a member but didn't come onto the chat boards then.
But I've had two or three mini-meets with Jenny, Liz Scribe,Ann in Darlington and Maureen 10

Think there's also Geordie Cath&Hoobity Boobity but not sure if they're still members.
