Hi Mel,

Sorry to read that you have been back to hospital.

Hope you have someone to take care of you too! I can understand yoru need to look after the children etc though. With a chest infection you must be exhausted and probably aren't getting much sleep.

I hope today brings some improvement. Get lots of rest and take care.

Cheers

Rach

so recently diagnosed, I am really surprised you are as confident as you are with dealing with these chronic episodes, and that the Drs are as confident as they are a sending you home as quickly as they do.

morning all, I have just done my pf it has risen to 140 (although it is only slightly Im quite happy) and I am not being silly at all about this the hospital is on my doorstep vitually and know I can go back if I need to. The Infection as come right out but pills (for my back) so strong they zonk me. Please don't concern yourselves with Amy or any other person who comes on to make negative comments they have to look at their selves in the mirror each day. Rach, the kids have been looking after me by reading to me watching a dvd with me and generally chatting to me which is the best medicine methinks. Minnie I am not sure if we spoke before I do not recognise the name so my apologises, I chose to come home and really it is up to me everyone's needs within a family are different and if you read some of my other posts I really do not need to go into more details.

Please forgive me if none of my posts make sense I blame the pills.

MrDaff Report 17 Sep 2010 09:19

Please forgive me if my words don't come out right... I have just got out of hospital and have a whole raft of tablets to take, so am not in total control of my faculties.

I am really really concerned that with a pf that low, you are worrying so much about coming on here and reassuring all of the lovely people here who have only your best concerns at heart.

My PF is almost permanently set at around 250/300 at best, and it drops to less than 100 at times. I can tell you now, that at those times, I can't even talk, I don't have the breath for it... I have had treatment (for something else, but it affected my PF) in the last 10 days... I am considered one tough cookie. But my PF was just over 130 and I felt rough rough rough....

So you really must rest you know, and save all your breath for looking after your family. Oh, and I look good in my mirror every day, so I do!!

thank you Jen. I have slept most the day and am still exhausted. Those other pills certainly knock you out. I had to do a middle reading of pf today which I have done its still 140 ~ but at least it hasn't dropped. Now waiting for the girls to get back from School (M is home already) so we can watch a DVD (David Copperfield). I will always get critasised for something, but those who care about me know what Im like and I am doing the best I can here I do not need to use my voice to type.

MrDaff Report 17 Sep 2010 14:47

Nor me, Mel.... it is the energy used in typing.... trust me, I know. Even just reaching for a glass on the table beside you can take your breath away, literally.

And there I was being all commisserating because I know how you must be feeling, being a fello victim. Tsk

Shan't bother again.

Daff, I didn't take your post in a bad way, but I apologise if you took my post that way. I didn't directly respond to you as you told me in the past not to it was more to previous posters. I'm lay on my side (but won't go into why) with only one hand to type I know the exersion in even lifting my head, but other than sleep I have nothing else to do as I can't even watch tv till kids get here and they re-position it for me. Please don't take it the wrong way, but I'm genuinely trying here. I will log off.

mel dont explain why you are posting ...

its easy to pass judgement on others ..each is different in handling things..

my peak flow is like daffs ..and as been for a long time.. yes its a very big effort to do things.. even going to the loo.just a few yards is exhausting most of the time.. .we cant just lye in bed to rot.. lol ..

im not a tv fan ..news and and a couple of programmes a week ..i find my lappy keeps my mind of things ..even if im out of sorts daily... theres always someone i can speak to ..

Hi Joan, thank you. I rarely watch tv, even when I can see it. The one in my room plays DVD's so nice to share something historic with the girls. Will send a pm re the reason I'm in bed, though you may have been told already. At the mo the loo is out of bounds unless A is here which he isn't at the moment. Yes besides the sleep and the laptop is all I have right now. x
