Kay???? Report 14 Sep 2010 21:08

Mel if they spent ***several hours***doing heart traces.!!!!and didnt take a LC reading and didnt reconise the signs of a potential asthma attack from a heart attack !then they want shooting!

edit,
mel its a tracheotomy,,they put an airline direct into your wind pipe via your neck.....

you had a suction to clear your airways.

Kay its took two years and several visits to actualy get diagnosed and treated I'm just grateful I'm being sorted out.

edit my Auntie had one of those after her throat cancer. She has to cover it to speak. Yes they used a suction to clear the mucus.

Hi Mel,
I had asthma when i was 28 yrs old in 1969 and as the years have
gone by i now have C.O.A.D i have ventolin to take whenever i need it
but the asthma nurse has put me on Spiriva Respimat which is very good (was on Actuvant) (sp) i'm also on Qvar, as well as Presdnisoline tablets to take if the breathing gets bad . like you my pf is about 160 .or less
i dont worry about it (its my way of dealing with it ) i do what i can and what i cant do is left for tomorrow lol .
Mel all i can say is that when you get an attack try not to hunch your shoulders up , try to relax them and you might find it a bit better for you .
and Mel your not bad a bad guy you know ..
You take care and dont over do it , take your meds on a regular baises
and you will find your level

why do people say that people who have a chronic illness are lying? id hardley think anyone would lie and tempt fate, but then i too have been told by people on here that i am lying and its by people who i have never met , so its probably just a bit of stiring footie i wouldnt worry im sure you believe your doctor who is qualified like i do.

FootieAngel Report 14 Sep 2010 22:12

Thanks Ladylol yes I do. These type of symptoms are very real and the pain can be excruiciating I would not make this up. Before I knew what was wrong I got by chest pains, throat infections etc but I always just got through it. When I had my first severe attack I knew about it. I knew it wasn't going to be something I could shrug. It scared me. It scared my children who happened to be there at the time. Their faces scared me. I had not known pain like it. And not being able to breathe is dreadful. You finally see you are not incicible. All control is taken from you. The fear that you are going to die is very real. This is not something anyone would wish on another and this is something you cannot make up. Now I have been diagnosed I know I am not better, nor will I get better but I feel safer in the knowledge that specialists are doing everything they can to help me.

Suemaid , she has nothing better to do
than to stir up trouble . as far as i'm concerned she should find a hole and crawl into it and stay there

im sorry to hear that footie, i hope you get some good medication, ive been ill for the last 20 yrs just wish i hadnt moved around the country so much and had kept to one gp, i was told i had lesions and i wouldnt live to a ripe old age lollol well im ripe but not old yet and im feeling a lot better since i tried a new liquid called baclofen for ms, im glad its helping as im supporting my mum as my dad is gravely ill, i even had people on here say i was lying about that sick eh ? but i really dont care just care for me and my family and a few mates xxxxx good luck to you, dont think we have spoke before but take care .
meant to say i even had people trying to trick me about diagnostic tests even names of different stages of ms but when your telling the truth its hard to get it wrong lucky for me my current gp gave it a name ive moved on accepted and feel loads better for meeting others with it mayby you could join a group and chat to people with the same illness, my astham got easier about 5 yrs ago but thats sinced i stopped work for other reasons. xx
