Oh, I get such sympathy ... yes, dire things happen to moi, and it just brings out the jokester in you all.

Well, I *am* going to tell you all about it. A diary starting at 7 a.m. Monday, I think, when I am to eat an egg and a piece of dry toast and a cup of tea. Never mind that eggs and tea make me puke, horrible things, and I don't eat breakfast ...

Ew, BC. I detest apple juice. ;) But actually, I did notice a litre of the stuff in the back of the bottom pantry shelf yesterday -- good reminder, it wasn't too bad, I'll dig it out.

I hate it because, well, it's horrible, but also, when I spent 3 months in traction in hospital at the age of 8, they'd bring around the afternoon drinks trolley, and I'd go Yes! Vernor's Ginger Ale! Vernor's is a northern US thing we got in southern Ontario, a very up-your-nose gingery ginger ale. I love it. But 3 times out of 4, what was it? Apple juice. Flat and ... well, flat ... as a drink can be. Yech.

Apple juice and jello and disgusting potions. And that's just the prep!

"Bottoms up" ... keep 'em coming, folks, I'll be here all weekend. ;)

Play loud music for diversion and sip apple juice in between the medicine:-) You will be fine. BC

My only concern is the sedation. I'm not easily sedated. The intake nurse on the phone kept telling me how well sedated I would be. They don't know me.

And -- I can tell them to stop anytime!

Well, if I'm awake enough to tell them to stop, I'm not sedated enough. DUH.

And ... stop now, and do it all over again later? I think not.

Janey a person of my acquaintance had this ( I won't say who but, like me, not one of lifes 'brave little soldiers' when it comes to things like that ) and it wasn't 'that bad'...I believe the huge dose of valium prescribed beforehand helped ;)

sooner you than me, Janey, what I had was frightening enough, but when all was said and done, apart from a few days of discomfort......a job well done!!
