Daff, Ilkestone is in Derbyshire, so maybe a clue as who sent the

red poppy seeds, just a thought.

May they flourish in the soil.

Hi Daff

This is turning into one helluva hanging basket. I hope your garden is big enough to hold it. I can just imagine all these flowers that are going into it. There must be hundreds by now. Whatever happens, don't forget to water it, feed it, nurture it and love it.

What do they say? You are never closer to God than in a garden? I should think this basket is pretty close.

lolol Beverley, positively groaning at the seams!! ;¬))

Ann of Green Gables, I received the Angelica this morning ( draws out poison and boosts the immune system) so that is another beautiful plant for the basket..... thank you so much xxxx It has gone straight into the greenhouse, too, ;¬))

ValinKent... your lovely Hypericum arrived today... cures wounds and keeps the devil at bay.... thank you so much. It needs to go on my windowsill a couple of days, but will put it in the greenhouse wen it has settled!

Love and (((hugs)))))

A kiss of the sun for pardon
The song of a bird for mirth
you are closer to God in a garden
than anywhere else on earth!!

Just popped into the greenhouse, and there is a beautiful scented leaf pelargonium...... for comfort and soothing... arrived when I wasn't looking... thank you soooo much, Beverley, all nicely tucked into the basket and watered in now. xxxx

This morning the postie brought some rooted cuttings of Aloe Vera... wound healing amongst a long list of other medicinal qualities... all the way from Mary in Spain, thank you so very much xxxx

I am hoping that the hanging basket complete with plants, lol, will be all nicely established during the first week in August, and ready to be put into it's special place in the sun...

Have a lovely weekend, everyone

Love and (((((hugs)))))

Lol Sue... Fuschia's are in the hanging basket, in the greenhouse, all nice and cosy, lol Thank you so very much

Ann in Glos, I have put in healing comfrey from you, thank you so very much

Jude, more Welsh poppies... they are really beautiful thank you so very much as well....

Helen, thank you, that is lovely.

Well, at the Wales meet yesterday, we had an auction, the proceeds of which have all been put straight into plants, and straight into the basket in the greenhouse this morning... now how brilliant is that?

TeresaW made the most beautiful bracelet and matching earrings... it really is stunning. I have special plans for that... I won it at the auction! I was determined to, and bidding was hot....

The actual auction raised over 120 plants, and then others (Sue M, Ann in Glos and Jude, bless them) had brought their plants ready to go straight in as well.... and then BC was giving telephone bids, and topped her purchase up.... As did everyone else, it was all rounded up, and this morning I deposited 185 plants straight into the greenhouse.

Thank you so much to Howie, Julie Ann, Jude and V, Jean (Monmouth), Itsmytelly and his dramatic auctioneer who did a wonderful job) Ann in Glos and T, Gwyn in Kent and her oh, Harpstrings.... and my oh who stoically turned a deaf ear to my bids, lolol All who contributed to the auction were just so wonderful, thank you so very very much. And also TW, Just Ginnie and BC, who were there in spirit with their donations for the auction, or their *telephone* bidding!!

Any gardener who would like a subtotal... please pm me, lolol

Love and (((((hugs))))))

Lolol Kemp.... no probs.... I just wanted everything sort of wound up, in case... I have something going on at the moment, that I am sure is now ok.... but just in case, lolol Sorry to be so cryptic... but there is a very very slight chance that I won't be around next week, lol Nor for a few weeks after, but I won't know until Monday... so I sort of wanted my greenhouse sorted by then, lolol

Julie Ann, thank you... but I had it very easy, lol.... it is looking really impressive and beautiful, though, and I am so proud and pleased with everyone who has contributed.
