i agree with you hun, we have a decent justice system, an your right i know personally, they dont always get it right , and i dnt think for one minute they should go round shooting people to save moeny on prison,

but i dont even think it will come to that, because hes gona come out, if he comes out, weilding a shotgun, and the police are going to have no option but to open fire and he will get his "wish" suiside by british police,

its gna be a no win sutuation for the police, shoot or be shot i know which id prefer xxxx

I think we crossed, Stray

Of course the police are entitled to defend themselves. If that's what it comes to, I wouldn't want anyone to get hurt - least of all a police officer.

This person obviously wants to be 'named' by the media ie 'Jack the ripper' etc. - so (he believes) he will become a 'legend' - why else send a dissertation to the poice about your actions and reasons for them?
I'll give him a name - 'Moat the Moron' - self indulgent plank with a gun.
He ended up in prison through is own actions.
The result of those actions - ie mother (s) of his children wanting to start a new life - his fault. He can try to blame the police - but it all comes down to what HE did that led to his arrest - and if he didn't have the sense to realise the possible result of his actions - he is a true moron - and can only blame himself!
A gun makes him more of a risk to others - but doesn't make him 'tough'.
A trial would show just what a weak willed, lilly livered plank he is. Shooting him would pander to his self indulgent view of himself as a 'victim'.

I'm going to regret this, I know, but here I go....

My personal belief is in British justice. It may not be perfect, but it's better than any alternative of which I'm aware.

It doesn't include shooting someone because that would be cheaper than keeping them in prison.

That supposes that there's a price on human life - and I for one am not prepared to set that price

i respect you opinion hun, but i think soon as he shows himself, and if the threat to the police is real, as he said it is hes gona come out shooting, and the police have no option but to shoot back,
he needs to hand himself in and he still can, but i dnt think for one minute he will

You are,of course, entitled to your opinion, Stray

I have to say, I really can't believe I've just read some of this ...

Someone said "I hope he ends up dead. It will save a lot of money on a trial "

Surely that can't be right? No right minded person could possibly be saying that spending money on a trial is wasted? Seriously?

I have read all your comments briefly

I live not far from where the police officer was shot, The local school has been closed his two daughters attend this same school as my grandsons and other local children too...
Our children have`nt ventured out on the street since last week...it is like a ghost town everything very quiet and still ecept for hearing the helicopter flying above our house morning / afternood / night....
Everyone is very nervous and many stories have been made up but the above info is very much the truth..

I don`t think that gunman is up in Rothbury, those two men have been used a Decoys for the gunman to get away elsewhere..

Yes he is wanting to be shot dead by a marksman, evidently he is barred from ever seeing his children again...

we are all holding our breath waiting to hear of his arrest...

Cannot agree with you Kay - I hope he ends up dead. It will save a lot of money on a trial, loads more on keeping him in prison and it will thwart the bleeding heart do-gooders who would be trying to get him released after 8 or 9 years saying "he is no longer a danger".

Just look at the pic of what he did to the poor policeman's face. Moat is evil, he should be put down like a dog. I am hoping he points his gun at a copper and they shoot him Frankly, I suspect that is what he himself wants.......

KItten.

I've not read all of the replies, so sorry if Iam repeating another post!

This guy is a maniac. Why was he deemed fit to be released from prison on Thursday, and kill a person on Friday?( Sorry if days wrong)

He obviously has an agenda, to kill as many police personnel as he can, before that they kill him.

Someone obviously knows where this person is. Are they harbouring him through loyalty, or fear?

He has to be found, sooner than later. I feel it for everyone living in this locality, and for their sakes, wish a quick end to this sad, but evil, episode
