If you have been in the lead, ALL day during a competition......there will be SOME blighter that turns up late on, and will beat you by three points, as happened to me, today.......still I suppose being second (in my class)in a county competition is not to be sneezed at,
Eh?
but being first in the veterans was SOME consolation, as well as winning a small pack of "fosters" in the raffle.......LOL

not so useless really -

did you know that there is an indicator on your car dashboard which tells you which side of your car the petrol cap is situated? There is a little drawing of a petrol pump and alongside is an arrow pointing to which side the cap is situated - not a lot of people know that - take a look!!!

During the battle for Stalingrad, the German army lost more men attacking a single house defended by sergeant Pavlov's platoon than it did occupying Paris three years later. Pavlov survived the war and became a monk.

This thread is proving intresting to two 11 year olds who are making airfix models and geting me to read out the best bits.

They managed to prove that the measurement between the elbow and wrist crease is the same size as their feet!
Also realised that they could not lick their elbows.lol
