Jean ,Yes hes always been a control freak and violent at times but he is getting much worse. I cannot have a conversation with him, I showed him a dress that I had bought for my great grandaughter today and his comment when I said it was 1-2 years old was "she's 3". I said yes but she's only small. He then lost his temper with me and accused me of argueing with him, called me a stupid bitch and said I was only trying to raise his testosterone levels. He is so paranoid thinks everyone is against him.I am taping most of what he says to me and I intened to play the tape to his doctor, even if I have to do it down the phone,I left this doctor because he would not listen to me when I said that my husband was getting aggressive and making me ill. He just said that he was ill and I must not argue with him and should do what he wanted. Well what would you have done? :-( Elaine.

Under no circumstances do you let him get away with it, it seems he has done the damage already and worn you write down, one of my tablets makes me feel naggy but ive learnt to keep my mouth shut and not take it out on others especially my hubby, i think you should call the domestic violence help line, they never ring you back so there is no way he would find out also the number does not show up on the phone bill.

My friend who is now getting married to a wonderfull man, lived with a violent and abusive man, she had a young child, they collected her and her belongings and child and put them in a safe house sorted her money out etc, it was the best thing she ever did.

If you want me to find any numbers for you i can do, your local docter nurse would also refer you, you dont have to do this alone especially when your ill yourself, i lived with a abusive partner for 3 years, he wore me down so much and said no one would ever want me as i had 3 kids one of them his, im now with the most loving caring man ever , let me know even by pm if you want if i can help, there is lots of support out there .

I saw my friend the pharmacist as I was leaving this morning. He said not the tablets but possibly the injections he has 3 monthly. I think he is a depressive and I can understand him being depressed but he turns on me. I am going to make an appointment to see my own doctor nex week. Thanks Puss :-D

my uncle colin is very ill they have now stopped chemo, but they are giving him steriods, hope your time left is as nice as it can be, this bloo&y illness, send millions on sending men to the moon, i could go on but its futile like our goverment.

Elaine, as if you needed telling that he was ill, but al the excuses in the world do not mean that you have to put up with it 24/7. My mother was like that and no one else has ever dared with me, even when I was in the army. I have a good left anf right and am not afraid to use them in a good cause. I am lucky, I have that sort of personality, not given to everyone. I am a lady until I am roused. Pity I dont live near you. Do as you have been advised on here and get out while the going is good, why should you give your life to someone like this. Medicines can be changed anyway, why didnt the doctor do something about it? Sorry, I am on my high horse at the moment.

Elaine i agree with jean, no one no matter how much they lie hit you or abuse you verbally has the right to do this too you, 17 years ago, i put up with this kind of poop i wasnt as ill as i am now , please elaine you have a a right to feel safe and be safe please get help, and we are hear for you, i would meet you and help anyway i could .xxx :-D

I have made an appointment to see my doctor tomorrow and have decided to list all the things that my husband does to cause me upset. Violence, threatening verbal abuse each day all day and send it in a letter to his doctor. We'll see what the outcome is. Elaine. :-S

Thanks Puss, got it. However, it is dificult to talk on the phone as he listens to all my conversations and yells abuse or argues with what I'm saying.
I have been to the doctors and was pleasantly suprised, He spent over an hour with me, consulted with a colleague and contacted the social services.He also advised me to move out but that will give my oh free reign to do what he wants to my home. I wrote down the gist of what happens to me on a daily basis and he spent ages reading it he also kept it and advised me to send one to my husbands doctor, will keep you posted on what happens next.
