A shame , Polly, but she is better off where she is now than struggling with brain cancer. My sympathy to the family.

I want to get a new tattoo. The one I have I got before I got Leukaemia, now I fancy getting another one. Would I be able to do this given the condition I have and the medication I am on? Forgot to check with my specialist when I last saw him.

Annie, I would content myself with a transfer if I were you. Getting needles stuck in you unnecessarily is quite a risk. In your state you will be open to infection, much more so than the ordinary punter.

Joy Report 26 Aug 2010 21:30

Please accept my condolences, Wendy.

Lorraine, I think that he will be susceptible to viruses and infections unfortunately at present. Best wishes to him for the chemo.

Puss, good luck to you S dad for the chemo. Hope everything goes well.

Jean, I did read an article that it is advisable to have blood test first to make sure levels are ok and that it is a good idea to get a course of antibiotics to have before/after having it done.

Wondering if anyone else has had a tattoo done whilst they were having treatment and what was their experiences?

ladylol Report 31 Aug 2010 19:52

Sdad had tubes out and got an infection the day after which has left him with a ulcer and infection so chemo is postponed for another 3 weeks i understand the reason for postponing but surely the longer he waits the more the cancer will spread .

ladylol Report 1 Sep 2010 19:22

i phoned the surgeons secretary today and explained my concerns and that Sdad is just lay in bed 24/7 and the this new growth in his leg is preventing him from standing on it so thanfully he is going to see him tomorrow , really hope they sort this latest setback out , hope everyone is ok xxxxx
