Good morning all. Dry and bright here so far. I thought there might have been a frost as, when I looked out around two o'clock, there was a beautiful clear night sky with so many stars I couldn't count them. Wondered where you were Vera but we knew you had your eye injection so thought that was why you were absent. Sorry you have been 'under the weather', probably literally. Hope the eye soon clears properly
Today is the 1st anniversary of Phil's (next door) death. Not a good month january here with phil's and Tony's annivesary in the same month.

Morning all,

Dull and dreary and very wet as it rained most of the night but there is some blue sky inbetween the clouds. Pc is saying breaking news so I better have a look at that. It just says rheavy rain coming soon but that not news at the moment as thats all we seem to get lately.

Good evening all

Good to see you back Gill. It sounds as though you are getting to grips with all the work in your bungalow and you’ll enjoy planning your garden. Sandra sounds more settled now as well which must be a load off your mind.

Thank you for sending your photos this week AnnG. I like the building with the ivy but I also like the picture with the warehouses along the canal.

What a shame about the robin Mel. He came to die somewhere he felt comfortable.

I’ve not been posting this week as I’ve not been too good and I didn’t think you’d want to hear me moaning on about my insomnia, bad head, bad back etc. As I haven’t been out this week I didn’t really have anything more cheerful to write about.

Oh yes, I did go out - to the hospital for my eye injection. Everything was fine there. No problem with the tests or the injection and I was out within the 30 minutes allowed for free parking. But the after effects were worse than last time and lasted longer. The pain and disturbed vision have gone now but I still feel as though there is something in my eye. I mustn’t get even water in my eye for 3 full days after the jab so I have to be careful even having a gentle wash. You can imagine how much I enjoyed a shower and hair wash this morning. I didn’t want to come out of the shower.

Lots of rain and wind this week and it is definitely getting colder again. I think the weather has been matching my mood. Today is also the second anniversary of my brother’s death. Where has that time gone? I miss him dreadfully but I have been smiling at the many happy memories and the good times we shared.

Meant to say as I drove through the arch after doing the shop this morning BIL was coming through it the other way so he had to back up and let me through. He had come to pick up some nuts and bolts for the blade of the mower deck. He stayed a while and we had a coffee and then he went so did'nt stay that long but it always throws out my plans for the day. He dos'nt remember to ring me to let me know and I have asked him time and time again.

Collected my scripts today too. Good that you dodged the showers on the way back home Anng. 8 degrees here and I am just about to go and deliver eggs.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 14 Jan 2023 15:30

Well I managed to dodge the showers and actually now it is dry and quite bright still 7 degrees so not very warm. So hair is cut and prescription collected so that is out of the way.

mORNING ALL,

aNOTHER DAY OF RAIN AND WIND HERE AND DULL AND DREARY WITH IT. pC SAYS 10 DEGREES and cloudy.

Sorry did 'nt mean to shout I had been doing a file heading. Had a lie in this morning as I was up early yesterday because Tim was coming.

I am going to try and do some crafting today after I have been up the shop for my paper, scripts and ham. I don't think BIL is coming so I should have a day to myself.

Sorry to hear about the little Robin Mel.

Have you thought about keeping your old frames Gwyn and just have the lenses replaced, then you don't need to choose new frames all the time.

Yes, we're still busy, we've put the cement boards down in the empty room today and have 99% done now, all that's left are the pieces that need cutting which, hopefully, we'll do tomorrow. The room feels so much warmer now the floorboards are covered and the cement boards are waterproof so can be mopped. It's less dusty in there too.

Yes Mandy it's nice to be able to help Sandra when she needs it, she rings me to ask for advice to which is nice.

Its just started with rain with hailstones mixed in but the suns still out round the back. O now it is hail!

Good morning all, bright and very breezy here ... and dry, at the moment.
It makes it much more pleasant for going out and about.

Mel, that's sad about Robby, but in a strange way it's quite fitting that they come to where they feel safe and you do know what's happened rather than be left wondering.
It must be distressing though <3

Good to see Gill back and William too.... both quite busy.

Opticians for me later. I haven't been for ages, so I expect new glasses will be required this time. I hate choosing new frames and usually end up with something similar to the previous ones.

Morning all,

Lots of black clouds here this morning but I can see the odd bit of blue sky ,still windy .

Anng my wrists still twinge when I twist them or if I hold any thing heavy and by the end of the day they both ache a bit ,the scar is still sore I have been putting e45 cream on them to try and soften them a bit .
I put the sweet peas three in a pot as that's what monty did ,I must remember to nip the tops out though if I do them again I haven't done any this year.

That's good Sandra is happy in her flat with her boyfriend Gill and handy you can visit to do odd jobs for her .

Morning all,

A bit brighter here this morning and pc says 9 degrees and cloudy so I don't expect the brightness to last long.

Tim is coming at 11 am so I have to be ready for when he comes and take him up the caravan to see what we can do about this air pump.

Last night when I shut the chickens in and went to come in the back door I stepped in the porch and saw a little brown flash and thought it was a mouse. It was'nt it was Robby and I was'nt pleased as later he was still there but this morning he is dead. Why do they always come to me before they die??? This is the third one now. The first one was the one that used to follow me around the garden and come up the border with me and even used to settle on my shoulder to let me know he was there. I still have a Robin as I have seen one this morning.

AnninGlos Report 13 Jan 2023 08:41

Oh dear Gill hope it recovered.

Good morning all dry here and 7 degrees I have a Tesco order coming this afternoon. Hope I don't forget to be ready, feels strange with it coming on a different day but with being away and then going and getting stuff myself when I got back I need to top up a couple of days earlier than usual. I will get back to normal next week.
I might walk down to the charity lady to return some books later. If it doesn't rain.

My laptop's just crashed, so if you don't hear from me you know it's my laptop and not me. Hopefully it won't happen again and I'll be back on here tomorrow.
