Gosh your temperature is high Mel. It is still only 3 degrees here. Still raining but I don't have to go out, I do have wet feet to contend with better put the heating back on before they come so that their feet don't get cold.

No snow here this morning in fact its 7 degrees and pc is saying humid again!

Not been out so don't know if it raining or not as I can't see that fine rain if it blowing in the breeze.

Hope you manage to get to your doctors appointment Island.

I feel all achy this morning,both my heels are hurting now and my toes ache too in the morning when I get up.

Good morning all no snow here thank goodness, hopefully we had our share in December. Raining at the moment and 1 degree outside.

Oh dear Island. Could you call a taxi to get there? Are the roads really bad now?

Hope you can manage it somehow. Once doctors' appointments are obtained we don't want to lose them. <3

tidy up this morning for the meeting this afternoon. Had a restless night last night so feel a bit tired this morning.

There's quite a thick layer of snow here. I'm very concerned about the safety of getting to my docs appointment tomorrow. So dismayed :-|

Well I hav'nt done anything much. I just could'nt get on today.

We've had rain most of the afternoon and its blowing in the wind. No more snow but what will come tonight I don't know.

Well there has been a lot of snow in the South West, Bristol and Bath and North Somerset but we have just had sleet and only 2 degrees. I have not needed to go out so that was ok got the lounge cleaned for the meeting tomorrow, also cleaned my bedroom and all upstairs carpets and the bathroom then made four Easter cards., did a bit of admin and finance. Surprised how much I got done. :-D

No more snow since last night but we have had sleet on and off all day and it is very cold.

I wanted to go to the Co-op for a couple of bits. Normally I walk but it was so cold and wet that OH got the car out. Then he decided that he would come with me and we would take the car for a good run. It hasn’t been used much recently and he didn’t want to find the battery flat when I have a hospital appointment on Friday. It wasn’t very pleasant as the rain and sleet were coming down heavily while we were out but we went about 40 miles so the battery should be well charged up.

All I’ve done this afternoon is a tiny bit of ironing and prepared the veg to go with tonight’s meat pie. I can’t think where the rest of the afternoon has gone.

I’m getting my hair cut tomorrow. I hope it’s not too busy in town as it’s market day. There are also a lot of road works, road closures and diversions. It took a friend 20 minutes to get out of Waitrose’s car park last Friday. I hope it’s not that bad in town tomorrow.

2 degrees rain and snow forcast but it feels a bit warmer out there. Done the dustbin up to put out tonight if I remember it. Its in the car ready to go but by the time to put it out I could have forgotten it!!!!!

Morning all,

Did it again woke at 8.15 for the loo and the heating had only just come on so went back to bed for a 5 min warm up, woke at 10.15am.

Last nights snow had almost gone this morning but theres still half an inch on the roof of my car. It is either very fine rain out there of fine sleety snow. I had a look I think its raining so it will soon all be gone.

Nothing planned for today but I may do some ironing as that ususally warms me up. I am trying to get through this month on the oil I had so am being careful.

Mandy oh bought me a cordless hoover and that only good for crumbs on the floor. It picks up the grit that comes off the road outside but when you turn it off it leaves it all on the carpet even on the turbo setting.

Well I have got the new vacuum together and working and I am very impressed with the suction. I just did the lounge carpet and then have put it on charge. It is very light to move around which is just what I wanted as I have a meeting here tomorrow I will do the floors tomorrow morning it should take a few hours to do a full charge.
I then decided to check over the hoover that I have moved upstairs. It is a very good cleaner but very heavy and wasn't cleaning properly. T always did the floors and I was wondering where he got the bags, but when I read the booklet I realised that it doesn't have bags, it just has a tank and a filter for dust. when I opened it up it was obvious why it was not cleaning. Goodness knows when he last emptied it as it was completely clogged up with dust right up to the pipe. I cleaned the tank and the filter and it is working well now so will be fine for upstairs. so I have hoovered all the upstairs now.
Time for a coffee I think.

Frosty here ,no snow but we did have a few flakes yesterday so I decided I'd go shopping as we might get snow tomorrow.
Monday I had my arthritis review ,had my blood pressure taken and they thought it was a bit high so I now have to take another new tablet ,what a performance getting that three times I went to boots yesterday the first two visits it hadn't come through from the doctors the third time it was there but hadn't been checked so I had a wait .

Got the bed stripped so that's all in the machine and I need to hoover the bedrooms and dust so thats my morning filled.

Anng hope you manage to get your new hoover together ,the pipe bits do take some clicking together but once you've used it a few times they get easier to pull apart, mines a shark hoover ,we went back to a plug in one it seems to have a much better suction than the rechargeable we use to have .

Vera thats good your back is feeling a little easier today ,mined what your doing today ,take it easy.

Good morning AnnG and all

We had some snow overnight but it’s sleeting now and the snow has already melted from the paths. The forecast is for sleety showers all day. Oh good :-(

I dosed myself up with painkillers and went to the Ladies Group AGM yesterday afternoon. It was a bit of an effort but I was glad I went as chatting and laughing with other ladies took my mind off my back a bit. The business part of the meeting was followed by a social event with substantial nibbles and wine. We only meet in the afternoon during the darkest time of year so it’s back to evening meetings in April.

I haven’t any plans for the day. My back is a bit better but I still need to be careful so another day of taking it easy for me.

Good morning all 0 degrees here just had a few snowflakes but stopped now. didn't sleep as well last night, no idea why, woke up around 4 and couldn't get back to sleep.

1.12am snowing here........................................................

That is only the handle put together, I have not tried to do the rest yet.

meanwhile I had a longish document to print and the printer ran out of ink halfway through, It is an epson printer so has all separate coloured inks and I had three to change so that has taken a while.

Soap would have done the same job I should think Anng. Glad you have it together now, have you tried it yet?

Hopefully our surgery will notify us when this is available. I had seen this before but then it seemed to go quiet.
Mel there was kitchen paper over the eggs, there were two of them and I often poach them in the microwave, often a few little pops but this was a huge bang and that egg was out of the poacher and sitting on the microwave turntable still whole It shifted the paper right off.

I have managed to get those two pieces together now, had lunch then had another go when still could not shift it, then in exasperation I wiped a small amount of WD40 on both ends of both pieces and it suddenly clicked into place with a loud click
