Good morning all. sunny so far but doesn't look settled. I have my fingers crossed that it will only be light showers as I am off to Lydney Park Gardens today with friends starting we hope with coffee at Lydney harbour. (I lived in Lydney from 1973 to 1981. Haven't been back except to pass through on the way to meet our friend in Chepstow up until 2019 .

Been raining here and its dull and miserable and 14 degrees so not as warm as at our Vera's. Can't seem to get into anything today so have been looking on ebay to see if I can buy anything I can improve on.

Vera at least there is some improvement. Would it not be better to at least take one or two of the stronger pain killer to knock the pain on the head. Then take it easy for a few days to see if it will continue to improve.
I really had a couple of things to do in the garden following on from what I did yesterday but it is going to have to be Wednesday now as I am out tomorrow.

I'm glad your village event went well yesterday Mel and the youngsters were at least able to get to play on the field.
You're right about the weather AnnG. We never seem to get the same two days running so it makes planning quite difficult. At least we've always got something to talk about, lol.
It's a warm day here, 15 degrees at the moment, but quite cloudy. It's now come over quite grey and the wind is getting up a bit so it wouldn't surprise me at all if it doesn't rain soon.
My back pain is a little bit easier today and I am trying to move about a bit more. Pain control is the biggest problem. I can't take any anti-inflammatories as they don't mix well with other tabs that I'm on; paracetamol on their own don't seem to do much for me which pretty much leaves codeine based drugs. I have a strong co-codamol on repeat prescription for other reasons and last time I had a back flare up the doc told me to take those but I do try to only take them when absolutely necessary. Hey ho, these things are sent to try us and there are lots of people worse off.
I'm having a veggie quiche tonight but I can't decide what to have with it. As I haven't had a delivery for a couple of weeks nor been out shopping for a few days the cupboard is getting a bit bare. Often we'll have a salad with quiche but OH finished the cucumber and rocket at lunchtime, there's no pepper or radish left and I don't think a lettuce leaf and a couple of baby plum tomatoes will make much of a salad. I'm sure we won't starve - I'll find something to fill the plate.
I might now catch up on a couple of programmes I wanted to see and missed. OH put on a programme he had recorded but it is suspiciously quiet so I suspect he's doing his eyes good. If I turn the TV off he'll immediately wake up and swear blind he was watching it. :-)

Morning all,
Dull and overcast here this morning and 12 degrees and cloudy by the pc.
Yesterday was nice in the village hall and I sat with my two neighbours Nicola and Angela and Adrian. I shouldhave sat with Hazel and Jonathon but they were'nt at their table when I went in. Anyway there was a quiz about the royal family and we all had a good laugh. I won two prizes in the raffle, a tin of shortbread and a small bottle of pink proseco which I wilkl give to Em as I know she likes that. When all the picnic was over and the crowns had been judged the sun came out so at the very end the children went on the field with the footballs and Ed Em's hubby had put their small goal on the field and it was lovely to see the same twins and others play football together.
Got up for the loo at 6.23 and went back to bed and woke again at 9.20 so I am behind today now.
Vera I do hope the back eases soon and you can get some decent rest and sleep. My thoughts are with you as back pain is so hard as every time you move you seem to hurt it. I know becasue I suffered with back pain for years and kliving on pain kiklklers.

What a shame Vera that your back spoiled your plans. Have you done something to make it so bad now or has it just happened.? I hope it soon starts to ease as it must be so frustrating for you.

You’ve been very busy AnnG. Don’t overdo it.
Mel, it’s a shame you can’t have your picnic in the field after getting it all ready but I am sure it will go well in your village hall. There’s nothing going on round here at all which is unusual. I would have expected something on the Rec at the bottom of the Close.
My back is still giving me real trouble. We were meant to be watching the coronation with friends at their house yesterday and I had even got myself a red, white and blue outfit ready to wear but I couldn’t make it. I sat on a firm upright chair in our lounge and we watched it here. I was very impressed with Penny Mordaunt. I thought she was very dignified and I don’t know how she stayed so still and kept that heavy cross upright all that time.
I spent a lot of last night walking the floor as the pain wouldn’t let me settle and nothing much seemed to ease it so I’m exhausted at the moment. It’s a pity as the weather is beautiful and I feel I should be out there weeding. OH has put up a bit of netting for my sweet peas to grow up when I plant them out. Now he’s putting out plants we ordered to replace the dead hebes that edged a semi-circle round a bird bath. I can’t remember whether we ordered 20 or 24 plants but they came while we were watching the coronation. We’ve tried lavender and that wasn’t happy in that spot, then we tried dwarf hebes and this winter’s frost finished them off so now we’re trying a low growing euonymous, called White Spire. It’s supposed to be very hardy so we’re hoping for the best
My eyes are drooping as I am typing so I had better finish before I fall asleep on the iPad. I hope you all have a good night.

It has been a beautiful day here. Mr Tesco was early then I walked down to the post box and to take the charity lady some stuff. Came back and had coffee, made some soup because the cauliflower I ordered came looking like a cabbage with so many leaves and not much cauliflower. So I used the leaves plus half a red pepper, a small piece of courgette and a handful of coriander leaves plus two very small potatoes. Had some for lunch it was really tasty. Then after lunch I cut the lawn (not done the edges yet. then cleaned out two bird baths and did a small amount of weeding. Indoors now, sun is still shining but I am tired now. Oh yes also swept the kitchen floor and used WD40 on the front door which was sticking.

Morning all,
Dull here with a little something in the air ,you can just feel if on your face but it's not enough to wet you if you know what I mean. Oh Mel that a shame they can't use the field but if it's dull I suppose it's better to set up inside rather than have to move inside if it starts raining, enjoy the picnic.
We enjoyed the coronation yesterday and will be watching the concert later ,I bet the King and Queen are tired today ,I thought they both looked nervous, loved the part where William kissed his father ,I thought King Charles looked really moved he blinked a few times as if he was holding back a few tears .

Good morning all. Ah that is a shame Mel, the kiddies would have loved a good run around in the field, Never the same in a hall is it?
A bit grey here but dry and 10 degrees. Hopefully it will stay dry as I want to walk down to the post and to take stuff to Irene. Other than that I think I ought to do a bit of housework.

Bin it Mandy it is a scam, it has actually been around quite a while now so you are right to ignore it.
It is raining here and has been for a while at least I am not going far, just over the road. I woke up at 1.45 last night and just could not get back to sleep. It always happens when I have a good night's sleep the next night is the opposite.

Morning girls,
Nice to see some posts on here and Mandy yes good to ignore it especially as the names wrong. That what happened to me when I had an email form the Northern Mudlarks saying I had won a prize they put morthern mudlarks and at a quick look I did'nt notice the m instead of an n in the email address but I email Gail at northern mudlarks and she said sorry I had'nt won a prize.
Well must get on as I am not dressed yet and need my coffee.
Rained here inthe night I think as all looks pretty wet out there so I don't think we hsall be using the field for tomorrows picnic and I must remember to take the mole trap up I have set out there.

Iv'e been making my crown for Sunday and done some baking. I made sausage rolls bakewell tarts and plain sponge buns. Thought I would make use of the oven while one thing was in there. I also popped a a jacket tato in there I had cooked inthe micro and some extra sausages so I can have that tonight.
Mandy ask son if he ordered anything for you and if not just leave it as it sounds like a scam to me.
