Frank I will send you a photo of my Big Ted sat on my little wicker chair .Big Ted was given to me when `I was about 2 and the chair was made by the Blind and I think I had that when I was 3.I used to use it all the time .Shame my bum won't fit in it now.My old cat Solo slept on it a lot.

Whats all this about "BLOW UP THINGS" Mandy, didn't know you were into that. !!!! at your age as well." I'll go to my granny's back door" who remembers that saying ????

Cleared up a bit now, so got her washing out. That will be wrong, I always peg it out, the wrong way, Is there a correct way???? Most of it is lewis's shorts and tops, changes two or three times a day. But have a job to get him to shower. typical little boy !!!!

My children loved their "ETCH A SKETCH". They could draw anything they liked, turn it upside down and shake it, it would clear, so you could start again. Many a happy hour spent with that.

If anyone else other than me hangs out the washing ...it is wrong.I will nip out and hang the shirts the RIGHT way lol.3 pegs on the bottom of each shirt.

Look where Franks mind is again lolol

I went through a stage of not wanting a bath.I would run the water and then sit either on the floor or on the loo and read my book.I would give the water a swish now and then so it sounded like I was washing myself.I was caught out a few times when I forgot to wet the soap and flannel lol

I can also remember a weaving set of cardboard shapes and handles and wooden sticks to put in the holes around the shapes. You then threaded coloured paper strips in and out basket work fashion and made pretty little baskets. Trouble was I would leave them on the floor and they got trodden on and squashed and broken. Then there was a game where you had a cardboard man, I think, on a base and he had a pointer and you stood him in the middle of a board and it told your fortune or something.

There's a lot you don't know about me Frank !!!!! LOL

I don't remember that saying Frank , we say "Well i'll go to the foot of our stairs"

I was always told what you wear on the top you hang out at the bottom and what you wear on the bottom you hang out by the top .

My grandchildren have an Etch a Sketch , do you remember having those little plastic square puzzles were you had to slide the tiles about to make a picture or words .
What were those tube things called that had coloured bits in and you held them up to the light and turned the bottom to make patterns

Morning all, old and new!! lol

Feeling a lot better today after a good night's sleep but it is so humid here. Just a few spots of rain earlier.

Persevere with the beans Mandy. You may find like mine that they start to come thick and fast at the top of the poles soon. We are having a few more tonight with lamb chops.

We have been out collecting rocks for the garden that were dumped with soil at a country layby!! We were clearing the mess up, but I still felt guilty!! lol

I loved that etch a sketch Frank, but it was always a shame to lose a good drawing wasn't it. My OH can't seem to peg washing out either so just do your best!!!. You should have seen him with a fitted bottom sheet yesterday. It was twisted and all over the place with one bit on the floor.

The woodpeckers look like they may be a pair Jane. They seem to like that old tree with its bits of hole in it. lol

Same as Mandy, my mum used to say 'I'll go to the foot of our stairs'.......and we lived in a bungalow!

I loved those Kaliedoscope (sp!).......would sit for ages turning the tube, but once a pattern was gone, it seemed you never saw it again. I wouldn't mind one now!!

I lied ....7 beans two were stringy !

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 27 Jul 2010 15:24

Mandy if you have some lime put a handfull of that round your beans as that should make them set better. Also give them some tomato fertiliser as that will produce more flowers.

I was bitten by a horse fly yesterday on my arm whilst I was in the tunnel. I put TCP on it but it must have been too late as I have a very swollen itchy arm now. I took a antihystamin this morning but think I may have to take another but they make me a bit dreamy!!!! if I'm not that already! Lol. I look like I have a Popeye forearm on my left as it's right on the side just below my elbow!!!

Frank I had that sore throat thing the same time as Mandy had hers and it lasted about 6 or 7 weeks.

David Report 27 Jul 2010 17:29

Frank, if I wasn't incapacitated by other symptoms, I'd use a sore throat as an excuse to go have a couple o pints every opportunity until it healed

The beer would taste better than a sore throat?

Tracey

I used to love doing the spelling tests at school.I was always quite good. But these days I do find I make lots more mistakes.I just put it down to age lol.
What I did hate was learning all the dates of Kings and Queens.my history teacher at senior school was a right B**** and if just one person got any wrong we had to stay in at every break time until everyone got them right. She also made us sit boy girl boy girl.
I once burnt my eyebrows with a bunsen burner in Chemistry.
