I too have stocked up on bird and dog food Liz.Chester has a dried food called Wafcol that I can only get at 1 place here,and I worry a bit in case they can't get their deliveries in the bad weather so made sure I have an extra spare bag.

I bought some ready cut small chunks of coconut the other day and forgot they were in the fridge,so put them out for the birds this morning.They were gone in a flash lol

Frank,I hope your Brother's wound heals soon and that he has some good pain control.It is good to know that your Sister is in a good home and that she is well cared for.There is nothing more worrying when you know the home is not up to scratch.

I have made a bird seed tart for the birds tomorrow. I found a big shortcrust flan case and the date had run out so I put bird seed and nuts in it and then melted some dripping and poured it over the seed. the case was in a plastic covering and I just cut round the top so the poly was still underneath. It looks great and I am sure they will enjoy it tomorrow.

Is'nt Liz's hubby going on Friday???

Our As*da garage had shut up shop this morning. I'm not sure why, but some garages have been running out of fuel because they can't get deliveries.......glad I filled up the other day.

Early night for me as I have a 6.00am start tomorrow. Hope we don't have to scrape the car in the morning. Oh yes Mel, thanks for your pics, showed OH the car one, we've never seen anything like it on a car roof.....crew cut as you say. lol

Chris is out with Chester,as he is off this morning.It was lovely sunshine when they left and it is now looking like it may snow .
The garden was like Watership Down earlier.Rabbits everywhere.My neighbours have gone to Lanzarote this morning and I am looking after the house for the week.There garden will be overrun with Bunnies now as Meg the Collie is not around to chase them off lol.
I have to look after the fishpond which is frozen!!.They said to put hot water in the corner of the pond until I get a hole.I hope I don't scald the fish lol.

I need to get off to the Bank now and get a ready meal for Hannah for tonight,as we are out.We are going to a Thai Restaurant in Rothwell with the partners and wives.(The usual Xmas get together).

Morning All and Jane,

Frosty yet again. Sun is shining but it dos'nt seem to clear the frost very quickly and there is still some left at night.

Liz will be thinking of hubby tomorrow.

Jane the best way to thaw a corner of the pond is to stand a sauspan of boiling water on the ice untill it goes through. Then you are supposed to syphon out some water and it is supposed to not freeze up again and giving the fish some ait space under the ice.

Since OH put the bubble poly over our pond it has'nt frozen over at all. He has even looked at night when it's dark and frosty.

TODAY IS THURSDAY 9TH DEC 2010 just for Jane's benefit!!!!!!


I have'nt watched Edwardian Farm yet. Will probably do that tonight.

I have been watching Victorian Christmas again on channel 12 and then Tales From A Green Valley which I think was the first series they did. That was set in 1620 I think. It is on very late though and you get two episodes one after the other.
