I had that MRI scanner on my head Liz and had to wear the biggest ear protectors. It still sounded like a Jack Hammer!!!!.I found it very claustraphobic (sp) too.Hopefully the results will come through quickly Liz.

Were they looking for your brain JANE> LOL LOL
I had one years ago, I have a blood clot on the side of my brain, from when a precast garage collapsed on my head. The noise is enough to send you mad.

I was just going to mention the ear protectors Jane!! If they hadn't warned me about the noise I would have thought it had gone wrong. Hope the process is speedy Liz so they can start the treatment.
Love the pics of Sofia in her pumpkin outfit, Fiona. That pumpkin is very well carved.....scary!
The trees out of your bedroom window look very colourful Jane. I can't believe how the trees look so good this year.
I didn't know any companies did that Frank. Save you getting writer's cramp! Loved your jokes BTW. lol
I have been in the city today, which isn't as nice as it used to be when there were big department stores and ornate old buildings. It is such a trek from the new development to the old 'centre' as well.
Called at MIL and FIL's yesterday. The latest purchase is a new expensive chiming clock. They only had a new one 2 years ago, a good one with westminster chimes, nothing wrong with it, but they gave it to the shop where they got the new one!! When they went to make a cup of tea we looked around and counted 5 clocks in one room. I told OH 'they have too much time on their hands'. lol.

Ann, I didn't think I'd actually sent the pic from my bedroom. It all went a bit funny so I assumed it hadn't gone.I won't send it again then lol
My In Laws had a thing about clocks Ann.I think we ended up with 4 here after they had both died.We just kept one ,after many years of wondering what the heck to do with them. They were just all sat in the garage,so we decided which one to keep and sold the others.

Morning All,
Cloudy today and a bit miseralbe.
Thanks for the view from your bedroom Jane and the colours are lovely in the trees. Are they poplar trees at the very back of the pic?
Frank thats not a bad price for a family tree is it? Do you know if they just do direct lines? That would be nice because mine has grown sideways a lot which is where I don't really need it.

Mel, I think they will do a tree length and width. If you go to :-"Ronald O'Neill they will answer any questions. I sent my tree via genes through "GEDCOM" thats a new one for me.

Morning all Bright cold and sunny just the same as yesterday till after lunch then the heavens opened, don't know if todays going to be the same. Off to the Drs this afternoon to check up on my pills been taking these Vit D pills since May and want to know how long I need to continue with them , also see if I can change the pills I was given for my acid reflux , I am still knocking the Gavi*con back especially after my evening meal.
Have a appointment to see the nurse on Thursday for my 6 months check up on Blood test, Blood preasure and urine sample. good to get it over before Christmas.
Daughter no 2 got her appointment for the Dermatoligist up at the hospital on the 29th of this month, she's not looking forward to it as last time they injected steriods into the bald patches where the alopecia is and it was extreamly sore as there is no muscle there, OH taking a days holiday then so he can run us up to the hospital, she doesn't want to be on her own. Thanks for the photo of your back garden , Jane.

It seems to be clouding up now and it feels a bit chilly in the breeze.I love this time of year as there always seems to be a nice smell of bonfires in the air.

Hi Everyone,
Good luck for your appointment Sheila. I have a trip to the hosp for my routine mammogram this afternoon. I hate standing on tiptoe and being squashed so hard, but it is important to get checked.
Sorry to hear the neighbours are still not playing ball Liz. They seem very stubborn. When it is sorted I would try and claim your costs from them. They don't seem to be coming up with any evidence of their own to support what they say, just causing more costs.
I love walking through dry leaves too Jane.....the smell of them too reminds me of childhood.
OH and I walked past an old tobacconist shop today and it had those round metal ashtrays where you press a plunger and the ash disappears into the container below. I had forgotten we used to have those.
Better get ready now.......BBL

Woh, It's turned a lot cooler, Have been sitting in the conservatory reading my book. The wind outside is blowing quite hard. It makes you feel cold seeing the trees bending over and the leaves blowing in the wind. Came in the lounge and put the heating on.
Liz, I don't know what to say about your neighbours, except they must be right so and sos to keep this thing up.!!!!
Doing a Turkey breast for dinner tonight. Have laid it on a bed of stuffing, ground black pepper over it with a squeeze of lemon. Roast Pots, and Parsnips. Runner beans, Brussels, Carrot and peas. Should keep the wolves from the door.
We use to go into the fields and scrape the leaves into a big pile then lay under them. The smell was wonderful. And as boys always do, would set light to them, the smoke was even a better smell. This close to firework night, we would have been on half term, and time to build the FIRE. We would dig a hole to put the centre tree in. then build the fire life a wigwam. Anything and everything went on it .It would burn thought the night, and we could start a smaller fire the next day. They were the good old days, no cares or worries, only what you could get upto the next day.!!!!

Ironing all done for today so I am going to catch up on all the e.mails. Looking forward to seeing the photos and reading some more of your great jokes Frank.
Good luck to all who have hospital appointments and hope all is well with OH Liz..
I remember wading through all those sites that print your family tree Frank, some do it like a tree with branches which I didn't fancy. Got a bit confused with it all and didn't do it in the end. I would be interested to see how yours turns out.

Hi All Sheila hope all is ok at the hospital for you. Just got back from the drs in time as the wind and rain came belting down, Jane, daughter doesn't think the steriods have made a lot of difference, accept the bald patches are not as inflamed but not much hair has grown back. good job she has thick long hair and it covers the bald bits.
Dr has told me to carry on taking the Vit tablets till they check to see my Vit D level, I might have to take Vit D for ever Also say's I can take 2 acid reflux pills now to see if that helps with the indigestion
Ann, I hate Mammagrams. so painful and I ache like anything for the rest of the day. but so far all has been good.

Yes those mamagrams are uncomfortable but better to be safe than sorry. Think might have got to the age where they don't call you anymore, same as with the smear test, said wouldn't need to go again, what is it .... turn 60 and it doesn't matter ......
The Christmas e.mail looked lovely Frank but I couldn't get any sound up, could be my computer. Alfie fell down the back of the computer table and took one of the speakers with him.
