Maureen, I did my lawn last week, it dosen't realy need cutting but the leaves are all over it. Might put the setting up high just to vacum them off. I have a leaf sucker, but it will take forever. I will get Ros to try to get refered elsewhere. I only thought we could go to Northampton.

Frank Report 29 Oct 2010 15:05

Have just been on line, and rang the doctors. The secretary is going to put more hospitals on the list. I will leave in an hour for them to be posted on line. Then ring again to see if there is a earlier appointment elsewhere. Thanks for that Maureen. Will let you know the outcome.

Maureen Report 29 Oct 2010 15:43

I should have put my setting a bit higher Frank, churned up quite a bit of mud but it still looks better, it did get some of the leaves but mostly just blew them out of the way.

I am now sorting out the shed, usually when I've finished with something, plant pots, trowels, etc. I just throw them in there, so IT'S A MESS. and it's a very small shed. No spiders yet but I am picking things up very gingerly.

Fingers crossed then that you get an earlier appointment.

Jane Report 29 Oct 2010 16:14

I hope Ros can find somewhere sooner Frank for an appointment. The thought of having to wait a couple of months or more with that pain must be awful.
I'm just looking out at our grass.I bet Chris will want to give it one more going over.If it's dry at the weekend I expect it will be done.
After a very dark morning it has brightened up a lot,and really mild.

Maureen I saw a whopping spider on the ceiling the other day.I waited until Chris was home to reach it.But by then it had disappeared !!!!!!!!!!!.I'm sure it is lurking somewhere lol

Just looked at the Finley and Alfie pics.......haven't they both grown a lot! I agree Finley does look like you around the eyes Maureen.....he looks so cute with his blonde hair and showing his new little teeth as he smiles.

Hope Ros gets a sooner appointment elsewhere Frank.....much too long to wait until January!

Yes the ENORMOUS spiders with long legs seem to be coming inside now for the winter. They can run like mad too. We seem to have one that lives behind the gas fire somewhere.

Well I had an embarrassing moment yesterday while I was out shopping. Shall I tell.............?? It gave OH another moment of hilarity when I told him....nearly as much as the cow splat!! lol I was looking at some candles and another lady, probably a bit older said how hard it was to choose and I agreed. I was just about to walk away, when she stroked my too large tummy and said aaaahhhh. I was puzzled, a bit taken aback, but any doubts soon went out of the window when she said 'when is it due' !!!!!!!! My face must have been an absolute picture. I glanced around......thought thank goodness sister is out of earshot. I didn't know whether to be shocked at getting larger than I realised ...............or thrilled that someone thought that this OAP with a bus pass looked young enough to be pregnant !!!! lol, lol. OH said 'there is never a dull moment with you!!' I don't know why he was laughing, it's mouse rations in our house from now on. lol Maureen, I'm joining you, dusted off my crosstrainer this morning!!!!

Hi just come in from Mac Donalds again with April.
then we went for a walk in the park sunny but very windy . We saved some buns for the ducks.

Happy Birthday David.
I hope you have had a nice day .

Frank sent list by aol.Gilda O Neill my ho seems to have read my book he was saying today gosh they worked hard in the Eastend all that washing the women took in and hung it everywhere to dry and some stuffed matresses to get a bit of food.

I remember when I went to Tweed trust the man telling me the gloves he handled the red hawkes with was elk hide
and leather and his gloves were £70 per pair he said red hawks look very regal birds but are very dangerous if not handled properly . Thats what I meant the one I held had very spooky eyes and I was not saying he was an unattractive bird in flight he was so beautiful.Lucky Jill having such lovely birds around

I saw the Kibworth programme I enjoyed it very much and have decided to go to a know your city class each week about Birmingham. I want to know how Baccobox Lane and Dumple mill lane came about.

Mohammed is the top boys name in Bham surprise surprise.

Laughed at Franks joke nice to get something funny to laugh at Frank .
April said today grannie do you know why chopped beef and pea soup are different. I said no
April said you can chop beef but not Pea soup
I did laugh I said do you understand that joke April she
said no thats why I asked you Nannie old grandad told me to ask you. I told old grandad what she said no comment.

Well will go I went dizzy late last night and could not sleep checked it out at the surgery with my nurse Rose and she said anymore worry and you will have a heart attack young lady and stop pushing that young girl up the lane in a wheelchair .I said I am not young and I would rather go out doing something useful she said well be warned nice I thought what with my other problems feel great.

I spoke too soon about spiders. Just caught something moving from the corner of my eye and there was this ..... yuk yuk yuk ........horrible black spider crawling up my arm towards my shoulder ....... I'm still shuddering.
Kept looking for them everywhere after that.

I'd take it as a compliment Ann, much rather look younger than slimmer.

Maureen Report 29 Oct 2010 16:59

That sounds like an interesting class Sheila, don't think they do anything like that round here. I've tried several times to enrol on an art class but they never get off the ground, not enough people but I bet the class was overflowing for the Bangra Dancing !!!

I would think the most popular boys name here would be something unpronouncable and with very little vowels, all z's and c's and j's

We went to a meeting last night about a new housing development proposal to be built a mile away at the other side of the village. We were horrified!! Off a narrow, lane in fields that surround a bridlepath they are planning over 4,500 houses, equivalent to the size of a town like Market Harborough!! We already have huge rush hour tailbacks everywhere......due to a retail park and various big offices like A*liance & Leicester HQ, N*xt HQ, Police HQ.......the mind boggles. Everything they propose seems to be this side of the city lately. Last year it was a mega incinerator being considered.....luckily quoshed. I suppose it is happening all over the country though.

Weighed myself this morning and I am 7stone 10lbs, lost 3 ibs since I started these back classes, I'll have to watch I don't fade away.

Sofia got a fright this afternoon for being nosey. decided to stick her fingers in the video slot on the portable tv in daughters bedroom and got them stuck, wow did she cry daughter no 1 had to ease them out, and stick little plasters on two of the fingers to stop them bleeding, they will be all right she just skinned them. it still hasn't stopped her pressing buttons on my Tv though.

Hope eveything went Ok for Mel, she'll be tired after the days events.

Jane Report 29 Oct 2010 18:06

Ann,you didn't say what your reply was to the lady !!!!!!!!.I always expect someone to ask me that lol.I shall chuckle all evening about that.

Sheila ,I loved the chopped beef and pea soup question from April lol.I bet she was deadly serious too.

I don't know what popular names for children are around here.It could be anything.

I feel ashamed that I have never really taken much interest in the history of Kettering .I have been here since 1985 but it has never felt like home to me.
Although I have found out some things about Cranford Village.

I think my conkers are shriveling up .They have been keeping those spiders away!!!!!.Well they are supposed to lol.

Hannah asked asked me to spray tan her tonight !!!!!!Yikes ,what if I make her all stripey !!!!She says she will have to stand in the bath while I do it.
I hope she doesn't regret asking me .

Jane, I hope you don't turn Hannah into a tiger with that spray. I wouldn't want to do it. lol Is it a coloured spray so you can see where you've done?
