I thought Sheila and the mints was our Sheila ,but just checked the number and it is a different Sheila.

Chester is getting a right so and so.Every time the timer goes off on the oven ,he gets there before me lol He stands looking and waiting for me to open the oven door.If he isn't careful I will trip over him with a boiling hot something.

Sheila Report 11 Oct 2010 20:25

Hi Jane it was me and the mints.
Well I used to eat dozens of those like Frank ruined my teeth. But loved them.

Well I managed to make everyone cry at the funeral up until I opened my big mouth not a tear in the place it was to be a fun loving funeral for Matt so everyone spoke of his antics like changing Leaping Lane to Leaking Lane when it sprung a spring and iced up the road in winter and how he was not allowed to take place in the paper chase because he had chicken pox at 16 and changed all the directions and everyone was running round in circles. And
how he took his book back to the library and it was closed
and the library lady charged him 50p the next week when he was going out the library he saw a notice saying it was closed the week before the day he tried to return his book so he went back and asked for his 50p back which he got and put it in the charity box BUT he made the library assistant put 50p in as well. that was Matt why we loved him so much.

I thought I will get up and just say a little something
so I quoted a tiny saying from the Little Prince Antoine De Saint
in one of the stars I shall be living
In one I shall be laughing
So it will be as if I were laughing at the sky at night.
Matts favourite childhood book it came from.

Well when I finished and looked round everyone was
crying men as well. I thought oh gosh what have I done.
The vicar made it worse by giving me a wink and
Ryan Matts friend started laughing .
I got outside and everyone was saying oh we were ok until you said that and it set us all off crying. I said to the vicar what did I do and he said they were all trying so hard to remember Matt alive they forgot they were at a funeral and you brought it back to them. I thought oh crikey wished I had not said anything. Jess thought it nice though.

Well the yankie choir sang and lunch time we all went to a hotel 200 people at two sittings but a limited menue.
Uncle Brin was paying. Well it would have been fine but they seated us our family and the Americans right next to a dozen nuns all celebrating sister Margerets retirement
and the Americans all big strapping lads were telling one joke after another really rude ones and the nuns were raising a few eye brows when they got up to go sister
Margeret said to Ryan oh I heard you naughty naughty
boys telling those rude jokes is it someones birthday

Oh No said Ryan it a funeral well you should have seen the nuns faces they looked gob smacked and walked out giving us filthy looks. We all said to Ryan why did you say that and he said well she was a nun I couldnt lie to a nun.

Then when outside we were just leaving and Bill another
American said I want some smokes and went bowling towards a shop we shouted no Bill go into the hotel but it was too late he went striding along really fast and walked straight into a guy carrying boxes of eggs all piled up it was
the farm shop and the eggs went everywhere my poor ho had to pay for them the yanks only had dollers on them.
Well you would think that was enough but four Americans were staying at the house and uncle Brin decided to do the
garden and put his back out. He was in a bending down position could not move along comes Ryan and leaped frogged over his back.
Jess and I were having a nice cup of tea when in comes uncle Brin saying get rid of these yanks that goons just leaped frogged over me instead of helping me up. Jess and I just looked at each other and collasped with laughter. Uncle Brin went off in a huff. Ryan was doubled up laughing he said I was joking.I said Ryan that was naughty

Next day we all went for a long walk to get Jess out of Matts sweater she would not give up and we saw two horses mating. Little April came skipping up and said uncle Ryan look daddies -playing follow the leader but where all the other animals .Ryan had told April daddy was a animal now she said I thought he was a star and he said yes a star as well. April said thats daddy and i hope he doesnt get his bum caught on that bush it got prickles

Ho and I decided to return today arrived here earlier
the house all tidy and dinner for us. the funeral was sad
but I had so many laughs Matt would have been happy
and he is now buried on a lovely piece of land over looking
very nice scenary the money can be paid in intallments
and most of the villagers have chipped in so everything
is fine
Just been reading the threads roared with laughter
poor Anne and the cow muck. its surposed to be good luck Ann.
Mel I used give my mum jelly its all she could eat i do hope
you are ok it must be worrying

Catie glad your BIL is having some fun and you.

David and the bras Sophia takes 54 B she said her cat
fell asleep in one of the cups once in her laundry basket.
Owe everyone e mails will get round to it who sent the viagra it my ho needs that after seing those horses it put him off he said. love to Jane too xxxx

Fiona Report 11 Oct 2010 21:29

Hi all
Glad all went well Sheila at Matts funeral, as we say in our church we are there not to mourn the deceased relative but to celebrate their life, and you certainly seem to remember what a good life Matt had. Now you can relax and hopefully find peace and comfort within your family.

seems I have lost my outlook express for sure now and will have to just keep using Virgin, thankgoodness for that, or I would miss getting all the pictures etc from you lot .

I'm going to call it a night ,bought 2 books out of WH *mi*hs today you got 2 for £7 which I thought was pretty good and there quite thick so I am off to have a bath and start one of my books.
night night all.

Yes, he's still having a chuckle Frank........ I think I washed out ALL my highlights this morning and they cost a bomb at the hairdressers. I must say it didn't feel lucky at all......the cow that did it must have thought I was the Papparazzi snapping away!! lol

It's good the funeral went off well and that there were cheery moments as well as the sad ones. Wonder if the nuns passed the jokes on when they got back.

Catie, I can well imagine your feelings when little Mark smiled, impossible not to be sad his mum didn't see it.

Sheila Report 11 Oct 2010 21:59

i justed wanted to add Catie I did mean it was nice having fun seing the baby smile not having fun it would be nice to think he is now but seing how heart broken Jess is I think
its so good that he does have you and your families love
we hated leaving Jess but she does have to learn to be without Matt and had lots of help and support offered .

Well nite nite do not want to dampen peoples spirits
being back but thought I would just pop on to say how the funeral went. Nite to everyone.

I thought I would see if I could find a few more conkers to put around the house to keep the spiders at bay.But I think the squirrels have had the lot now.
Have a few things that doing in town this morning, and they are all in different parts which is a pain.At least I only need to get one car park ticket and use it in the 2 that I need to go to.
It looks a lot cloudier than yesterday, but no rain so thats good.

Morning All
Morning Jane

Did my shopping yesterday so I hope to have a day in the house , I've got to catch up on some ironing and I want to change our bed, unfortunatly it's not a nice day weather wise, cloudy, no rain as yet though, it's a school holiday week here and it's very quiet in the street, as most of the families with children have gone away some where.
OH has some days to take off before christmas, so he is having a break and talking next week off. we won't be going any where but he will manage to go cycling every day and get some work done in the garden and hopefully when Sofia comes down we can go out in the car,
Hope you get your jobs done in the town Jane treat yourself to a break and have a coffee if you have the time, hard work shopping, Past times (the old gift shop) has just opened in Hamilton , and they are selling everything at half price just in time for Christmas I am looking forward to popping in sometime later this week.

Annx Report 12 Oct 2010 11:11

Morning All,

Overcast, but no wind this morning. Helping OH this morning to set up some letter templates for his latest job.....he thinks I know how to do these things.

I showed him an advert for another job in the paper last night, FATHER CHRISTMAS WANTED. I told him he couldn't have the children sit on his knee these days though. Quick as a flash he said 'it'll have to be their mothers then'!!! Naughty!! Costume is provided......one size fits all I suppose!!! lol

We are looking to go to an arboretum soon......anyone been to Batsford near Moreton- in- the- Marsh? It looks good online.

Annx

Annx Report 12 Oct 2010 11:14

Hi everyone is anybody having trouble with aol sending stuff.
I have had two friends phone saying we have sent you
e mails but when I went to answer could not send anything the typing was slow no names would come up and it was rubbish. I phoned a number and it was like talking to a constipated duck the lady was so unhelpful.

I sometimes wish I was Out of Town. love that song by the way bIg fluffy clouds in a cluster hanging on the breeze to dry .my sheet was drying nicely on the line
but the line broke and it was nice and muddy and a pidgeon had messed on it .serves me right for laughing about Annx when I read her thread again could see it was not so funny so sorry Ann. I have just had my hair highlighted so know how you feel.

Well I have to go out at 2am to take a lady stroke patient
to the dentist its awful because the poor lady has to lie down to have her teeth done and she hates it. I do not think
I would like that lying down to have my teeth done.

I will thank Jane for the pictures what lovely trees and
Maureen for Alfie and the squirrel love your pictures everyone keep them coming . Jane the joke and the fat ladies was funny.

There was a bird in our garden do not know what is was
sort of looked like fuzzy pidgeon it was white fat and had a fuzzy head his little face was sat back in it such a cute little bird I wanted to pick it up and cuddle it.
