Hi Jane,

No I don't think we heard from our Mandy yesterday.

It has just started to rain here but only lightly. I have also just put washing in the machine!!!! I think the weather knew I was going to do some today.

Morning All,

Really autumny now isn't it. After the man had been to service the alarm we went for a walk. Lots of conkers about and one or two squirrels scuttling up the trees. We went up to the old ice house in the the old parkland. OH was telling me he could see some props had been put in the doorway to hold the walls back. I walked towards him in the entrance and looked up at a squirrel rustling in a tree above it. I didn't see the two brick steps partly hidden with leaves.......stumbled forwards, grabbed at his chest to stop me falling and nearly took him over with me and into the iron gate!! After him telling me to be careful (too late!!) and to watch my knees (like I didn't know that! lol) he unbuttoned his shirt and peered inside to see what I'd done. I think he was as surprised as me to see the 3 big red gouges where my nails had raked across his chest!! After that he kept stopping to 'examine' his injuries as he put it. lol I think I may have to get ointment out later. lol

Sorry you didn't have a good night Mel, lets hope tonight will be better. Tell your mum we are thinking of her.

Fiona, is it Sofia's back teeth that are coming through now.....I can remember my little brother having a miserable time with his when I was 16.

Elizabeth, I take it there will be somewhere for Merlin when you move. I know when we last moved we had to have an enormous clearout of our stuff......the things you accumulate over the years that will be 'useful' one day. Jane's idea of a boot sale sounds good. I have only done a few, but have always been surprised at both how much money we made and the sort of things that I nearly left behind that someone bought!

Poor Gordon do give him my wishes Ann. I can just imagine his face!! It must have been a big shock for both of you.

Do you find the glasses don't help when you look down? I know mine don't always.

Liz you could always have an Auction at your house. You would be surprized at some of the things that have sold round here at an auction. When I first lived down here they had one next door but one when the couple split up. Everything sold!!

Another I went to where a chap we knew lost his house and garden centre and they sold piles of green plastic seed trays done up in 20's. As the people picked them up they crumbled to green dust!!! but he had his price for them.

Ann !!!!!!! you devil you raking your nails across your man's chest lol.Thank goodness you didn't hurt those knees of yours.
The conker trees all seem to be diseased around here.I have not seen many conkers on the ground. But our resident squirrel seems to be getting plenty from somewhere and trying to bury them

Hi Everyone
ANNX
no I don't think it's Sofia's back teeth, daughter no 1 said she saw another tooth at the bottom front on the left hand side coming through, I think she has a cold as well as the teething, it's the first one she has ever had as far as we know,
she now goes to toddlers and probably could have picked the cold up there , you know what it's like when kids all play together they can pick up all sorts of ailments.
it's been dull here all day. I have been down the town to the bank and back but not doing alot ,
sorry to read about your fall and your attack on your OH. LOL !! it could have been worse if your OH hadn't been there, might have fallen and hit your face and broken your glasses
I know even though I have had my very focals for a while now I still sometimes have problems adjusting especially trying to focus when reading or signing my name.

Good job Oh was there to stop your fall Ann, or you would have suffered a lot more than a few scratches. Honestly men are such babies !!!!!

Nobody exciting in my tree either, I know there's nothing wrong with agricultural labourers but would have liked to have found something a bit more interesting, wasn't expecting royalty but a murderer or two would have been interesting!!!!

Just to let you know our move has had to go on the back burner. We had trouble with our neighbour 15 months ago about the precise (!) position of our Northern Boundary. We thought it had been resolved, but apparently not as we had a sols letter this am saying they were still unhappy with it and want a joint survey, Neighbour doesn't like looking at Merlins yard and wants to put a panel fence! we have a post and rail one. The boundary is on the edge of a ditch, and when this first blew up we had a survey done which confirmed exactly where we go. Neighbour now won't accept that and wants a joint survey, with threats of a court case if we won't agree! So, off to our sol, on Monday to take his advise. The stupid thing is that they can't see the yard from their house or garden but just from their field! how sad is that!!!

Has Shirl got her daft head on lol. That made me laugh.
I have been so warm today ,I have had the patio door open the whole time and have only just this minute shut it.There is not a breath of wind out there.

I have been using a different conditioner in my washing and I am finding the smell far too strong. It is giving me a real claggy throat and a hot face .So I will be seeing if my neighbour would like it and I'll go back to my old one.I even had to take my nightie off last night as I couldn't stand the smell.Chris thought his luck was in .I just told him to turn over and go back to sleep lol

Jane

Jane Report 28 Sep 2010 18:23

Oh Elizabeth, how daft is that. They sound difficult people. What a shame .It shouldn't take you too long to get a survey done should it ?.Will you have to pay or will you split the fee.
