Afternoon all Its really chilly here today,and we've had a little drizzle . Been helping hubby have a sort out , he has a lot of deals that he had for work that needed to be thrown away as they had started to crack and rot ,we loaded them on his van and have taken them to one of his customers who as a wood burner .
Oh my word Fiona size two shoe !! my Niece's daughter ,who's 13 takes a size 12 shoe !!! she is not a girly girl ,and spends most of her time in trainers ,which is just as well as shoes are hard to buy in that size .
I want to get Paul O'Grady's book ,i read the last one and thought it was really funny in parts .
Mel, hope you've had a good night with mum.
Poor old Frank , home alone again !! mind what your doing outside on your own ,that grass might be wet ,you don't want any more falls ! A very Happy Birthday to Lewis ,wish i was 12 again !! Carn't say i do much shopping on a Saturday now ,i tend to shop in the week as its so busy at the weekends, as there's only the two of us i don't do a big shop anymore ,always got plenty in the freezer and a good store cupboard ,i buy things as i see them on offer so it keeps me stocked up.
I really think the time has come to get my trousers out ,still in my three quarters but my legs are now getting chilly .

Lawns all cut, cut though the cable so had that to repair it. What a fiddle job, when both hands don't work together. !!!! Had a nice bowl of stew for lunch, I did one for last nights dinner, still got some over. Might freeze it, and have later in the week.(next week now)!!!
Catie, I would have been one of the later, draged there under protest. I would have been at the bar having a couple of pints.
Was going up the club at lunchtime to watch Chelsea v Man.City.But couldn't be bothered, so got it on radio, while I read my book.
DIL came down from Rutland to meet Ros in Northampton, so Go# knows what time thet will be home. She and Conrad are off to the Carribean next week, on two week business/holiday trip. So I suppose she is still looking for more cloths !!! typical woman !!!!

Catie ,I love scandals lol.Can you tell us any??I would love to find something juicy in my lot. Fitz has one.His Mum's Stepfather was up in the Old Bailey on trial .He was accused of having liasons with young men with painted faces lol.Back then it was illegal to be Gay.I read the newspaper report that Fitz has.He was not found guilty,but Fitz's Mum was taken away from London by her Mother to get away from the scandal.
I feel quite cold and have put a warmer top on.It is a funny looking sky out there.Chris has bought another greenhouse and is preparing the base for it I think.
My sisters youngest has gone to London this morning to start Uni.I bet Janice will be all of a hoo ha lol.

Thought I had run to earth an ancestor killed at the end of the Great War, but it turned out that he was the wrong person!!I've traced him to 1901, but after that he disapears! Back to the drawing board I guess! Lovely day here, so am feeling much better, done loads of gardening and am about to go out with OH, Merlin and Millie! Salad for supper, nice and easy, can hear the sound of hooves so bye for now!

Scandals Jane.... Where do I start lol I'm trying to get Andrew to look at a document sent to me about one of my rellies. Once he has found a way of forwarding it..... I will send it on.... Already promised it to Mel. The judge declared it to be the 'strangest' story to have appeared in the Divorce Court. I will say no more. This particular line has a scandal in each generation. It's interesting in many ways and following it right back makes me first cousin x14 to Katherine Parr (HenryV111's) sixth wife. My Greatgrandmother x 15, being Katherine's mother's sister. I knew that we were direct descendents of Lyme Park in Cheshire. Had no idea of that connection. Hope that doesn't sound boastful - don't mean it in that way. So..... where's all the money gone.... That's another story enrirely and we certainly don't have it lol Jane.... Fitz's story was a bit weird... but very interesting lol

Frank.... There are a few people I would like sent to The Tower... bur You are not one of them lol
Mel.... Gosh, how sad to find a 'baby killer'. Bet you went quite cold to discover that. I know I would have.
Jane.... I don't have Latimer in my tree and don't know if he's linked, but I know there was a chap by that named burned at the stake. Doesn't bear thinking about. Jane... Unlike Fitz,,, We do know where the money went. My Greatgrandmother was left a mansion house in trust and additionally a sum of money. The house was to pass through the generations and eventually my father would have inherited it for his lifetime etc. My greatgrandmother married a very decent chap, but became bored of him and had an affair. She married a second time and had another affair. The affair was with a lawyer. Somehow, the trust that had been set up was defrauded (if that's the right word) and the property was sold. She purchased a much smaller property in Kent, but spent most of her time in Switzerland. Having dumped her second husband, she lived with the lawyer in very expensive Swiss Hotels. This went on for many years and she got through a fortune. By the time she died there was about £200,000 left. She had squandered millions. The family engaged lawyers to investigate the fraud.... By the time they had put a case together... My greatgrandmother and the lawyer had died.... End of story lol I have assured Andrew that I am not like my greatgrandmother lol
~~~~ To Shirl.... Nice to see you back.
Evening all I'm jelous (sp) reading all about lady Catie and Mels baby killer , and Fitz's family, you all seem to be discovering exciting ancestors and fantastic stories. so far I have been researching for about 10 years and found nothing exciting or sinister has turned up, Oh I did find out my nana was illigitamate, and have no way of finding out who my great grandfather really is, but that is a common story, most people have illigitimacy in their family some where.
