No Frank.... I'm not still asleep lol. Another really bad night and to top it the twins crept into my bed at 5am and crying their eyes out. They said they didn't want to go to school as they didn't have a mummy. After lots of cuddles they went off with BIL and were ok when he left them. BIL is now having a nap. The vicar just called to sort out funeral arrangements (Mon) and as a cosequence he's emotionally exhausted. SIL's family are Dutch and not all of them speak English very well. So... some of the service will be in English and some in Dutch. Her parents have asked that we greet people at the cemetry in the 'Dutch' way. Two dutch cousins will hand each person a flower, to be placed on the coffin at the end of the service -just before the coffin disappears behind the curtain. Apparently close family will rise first and go to the coffin - place a flower and then place a hand on the coffin. They will then say goodbye. Then everyone in turn will place their flower and do the same.... It's all new to me, I must say. I've been asked to play the violin and a pianist friend is going to accompany me - a compilation of all Nicky's favourites. Everything from Bach to 'Lady in Red'. I'm going to find that very difficult.
Frank... You are in the dog house lol. What do you mean... You don't know anything about me lol. I've been chatting on here for ages and said quite a lot lolol. If you pm me your mobile number I will send you a pic. Then you will see who you are talking too :)
Jane... I had to smile at the image of that little chap.... Hope Chester sees the end of his troubles soon. Talking about pets. My OH says that now I've moved out - the cat has moved back in lol
Fiona, your daughter is so lucky to have your love and support, and I'm sure she appreciates all that you do for her. Hope you have recovered from yesterday.... must have been tiring walking about for so long after such an early start.
Still waiting for the midwife. Received a call saying she would be late. Strange excuse - her puppy had jumped into the car and damaged her steering wheel - so she was having to have some repair work . I had a chuckle when I put the phone down lol

Catie we would all love a pic of you. Could I please have one for my Threadateers Gallery. Can you send me one by email please. Will pm email.
We have all been wondering how you were getting on with the children. Lets hope a day at school for the twins will get them back into a routine even though they have had a great shock in their little lives.

Afternoon All Catie , Hang in there you are doing a great job, the days till the funeral are always hard and you will be exausted keeping a brave face for the twins BLESS THEM there really little to take in everything thats going on , that in itself can be a blessing. The funeral arrangements seem strange to us but they do sound a very nice way to say goodbye to their loved one. We will all here on Genes no matter where we are in the world be thinking of you and your family on Monday.
Weather today dull & wet , been to bank to pay afew bills and that was me glad to get home.
Jane ,Poor Chester , I wonder does the wet weather bother animals with arthritic joints as well as people. next door had a golden lab and as Goldie got older she would take ages to go for a walk when it was wet, Mind you anyone wouldn't like having to go walking in the rain. BBL

Afternoon All,
Another lovely sunny day here......only rained after teatime yesterday. Spent yesterday giving the bungalow a 'going over' while OH moved gravel and fetched hardcore in the garden. This morning I finally chose some new specs and prescription sunglasses.........expensive aren't they!! Then we had a croque monsieur in Deben*ams in Nuneaton and called in a garden centre on the way home......didn't use any pennies there though. lol
OH has an interview tomorrow at the police headquarters just down the road so he's doing a bit of preparation today.........he's interested in being a volunteer police custody visitor. On a sadder note, he is going to the funeral of the lady who was in the hospice on friday. She was only 42.
Catie, it must be quite a shock, the change in your life with little Mark. Sleepless nights don't help either, but it is bound to be demanding just now. Just go with the flow and sleep when you can like the others say. School will be good for the girls and take their minds off the big change in their little lives.
I bet Chester won't be keen on the injection!!

Once Monday has gone this fill fall into a routine I'm sure. I'm glad the twins went off to school alright in the end.Bless them .They probably have no idea what is happening other than their Mummy is not there. Hi All OH lets me cut his hair too Annx, what he has got off it,lol says with so little hair it's a waste of money going to the barbers/hairdressers, I use a razor just to trim it now and again. I would not let him near mine, I let him trim my fringe once and he cut it to short , no way he's coming near me with the sissors again.

My Dad used to let me cut his hair.He had plenty of curly hair ,so if I made a mistake it didn't show too much lol.I thought he was very brave to let me do it. I would not let anyone near mine other than my hairdresser. My sister does her OH's hair with an electric cutter. She also did her sons ,until he grew it .He now looks like a hippie lol

Thanks for your kind words and support everyone - it is very much appreciated :)
Mel has given me her email address and so I will forward a pic. At the moment I'm on my BIL's computer and so I will forward a pic from my mobile to my email and then on. No.... I'm not good with technology lol. Then when I'm home again I will scan some nice photo's and pass them on.
BIL picked the children up from school and the Head said they had been very quiet - which we expected. They returned home with pictures of their mum - depicted as an angel. It made my heart sink. They have now gone to tea with the children next door. Gosh... The neighbours have been Fantastic. To begin with, I wondered what it would be like living in a 'gated community' - it's worked out well. The 8 houses are all occupied by families with children and they all look out for each other. 3 families are from the USA and they have been really kind. Yesterday one lady brought a meal she had prepared for us - she didn't think we would feel like cooking. Today, another lady has done the same. When I return home, I know that my BIL won't be short of help and that's really good to know. The good thing is that all the families moved in within a few months of each other, so there seems to be a special bond between them. Anyway, I will stop whittling on.... Bottles to clean and more feeds to prepare lol

Catiel, you can whitter on all you like, We are good at listerning. So pleased you BIL will have friends around to help him with the twins and Mark. Hope everything goes allright on Monday.
My screen has gone extra large today, don't know why.
I have been in the conservatory most of the day reading and listering to the radio. Keeping well out of the way till I start to feel more like myself. I do get days like this, after a lot of heavy work, I must try to do a bit at a time, rather than all at once.

LOL Frank .Still keeping a distance then !!At least you realise when you are going to be stroppy. How many times have we told you not to do too much all at once!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.You never listen lol.Men ! Huh lol.We love you really.
Catie ,It sounds as though your BIL has the best neighbours. As Frank says you whittle as much as you like .There are lots of ears here. I hope you have bought up plenty of boxes of tissues!....I even need them when I think of the situation you all find yourselves in .The girls will be fine .They are young enough to not actually realise the enormity of what has happened .They are not old enough to question things in the way an adult would. They will accept what they are told. Can't wait to see some pics .

No, I wouldn't let OH touch MY hair with scissors either.....he has offered at times. lol He can't cut a straight line on paper with scissors!!
Your BIL does have great neighbours Catie......fantastically caring, they will be a great support to him.
The monsters are learning well at the Shirl School of Thrift, then!! Was there a saying 'Why spend a penny when a halfpenny will do?'
It's good to have a bit of 'space' when you feel like that Frank.......you do do an awful lot you know.....put me to shame.
Bet your kitchen smells a treat Mandy......fresh baked bread.....mmmm.

Well my 'mug shot' is now in circulation lol. Jane and Mel have my email address and I would love to put a face to your names too, if that's ok.
I'm off to bed shortly... Think I know what's coming and I'm all prepared lol
Ann... My OH wouldn't let me near him with scissors. The only hair I've snipped is my dolls lol. I must have been about 5 or 6 and she had the most beautiful long blond hair. I cut it off, thinking it would grow again. Boy was my mum cross lol
Mandy, I've tried to make bread a couple of times and even the birds won't eat it. It always goes so hard. I wonder what I'm doing wrong?
Shirl.... My OH has a hole in his pocket.... He's better than he used to be... But there's still room for improvement lol.
Jane... The twins are going to the funeral. Mark is staying with Andrea, the lady next door. She's from Orlando and a real character lol
Frank... You sound tired today. Hope you wake feeling better :)
Fiona.... Hope you've been able to have a more relaxing day.
Night Night xx
