I'm waiting the arrival of our niece who is coming for the weekend. Emily is autistic and so life is a bit of a struggle for her. We look after her for the odd weekend to give her parents a rest and also to allow them time to spend with Emily's 4 yr old twin - who hasn't any problems. Fortunately Emily loves music and so keeping her amused isn't difficult. When I'm playing to her I've noticed it's the only time she makes eye contact. Then afterwards she returns to her own little world. We all have to work hard in helping her to join the real world.... It's so sad. We all love her to bits.
On that note, I'm going to go and wrap a present for her..... A pair of casternets lol. I had strict instructions from Andrew to choose something that is quiet lol.

If I don't get chance to pop in again.... Have a lovely Bank Holiday Weekend.

Well I think there is something about having a bit too much weight.I went a cropper a couple of hours ago in those blasted slippery slippers.Mt feet just went out from under me.I bashed my head and all down my right arm on the brick wall and landed like ten ton Tessie on my backside.If I had been skinny I think I would have done a lot more damage lolol.It did shake me up a bit.James heard me from upstairs and had to come and haul me up.I think there will be a lovely bruise on my arm.Haven't inspected my bum yet,and don't think James will be keen to have a look !!!.Chris can have that job,he won't be shocked lol

Hi today just popped on to say have a nice week end and Bank Holiday. Jane are you ok I think I told you I walked out of one of my slippers on the stairs and fell down six of them had a bruise the size of a plate on my rear. I have my car back it was some water got in the works the guy at the garage said it will be ok. Thanks everyone for the jokes I hope you got mine I do not know many what do you say good job I do not.

i was watching One Foot In The Grave when eating my lunch. This guy was telling Victor his wife had fallen over the cliff and one shoe was on the cliff top and another on the rocks with a piece of her skirt material. He said later they found two octopusses clutching her Goochy handbag that made me laugh. I loved that series

Yes I'm a right Ninny Shirl.lolServes me right really as I had a slip in these slippers a few weeks back.I think they should go in the bin ,as that way I won't be able to wear them outside again.

I wear a pair of those plastic shoe things like Croc*s and they are lethal on wet floors ,i went into the bathroom on the tiled floor the other day and nearly went a*se over t*t lol
Hubby was home early so we took some of the rubbish out of the loft to the tip ,and to save cooking we had a Chinese .

I have an imprint of the brick work on my arm Mandy lol.That's how hard I hit it .Chris is home ,says he will look at my backside later .He would like his dinner first !!!!!
It's turning out to be a lovely night here.Is it tonight we are supposed to see Mars next to the moon??(That email that Frank sent us)

Well I have had a look and can't see the Moon or anything,and it is a clear night !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now 10pm,and I can see the moon hidden behind clouds lol.So don't think I will see anything special tonight lol.I haven't seen anything about this on the news Frank so maybe it was a prank !!.I will go and have one more look in a minute before I go off to bed.

Morning all,

I did see the moon and mars last night. At first it was behind the red tree by the pond but later as it had travelled across the sky I could see it and mars clearly.

Waited nearly all day for SIL's to come and rang Chrissy in the end. She then told me that her son had got four A's and some other marks and he was trying to decide what uni to go to and Chrissy said I can't leave him to sort it out as they have to get things in for this Monday. also other SIL was having her hall decorated so they are going to make it another weekend. Bah!!! and I did all that freaded housework too. Glad I never made the beds up in the caravan. Had all the sheets etc ready. Scrubbed the bathroom as you do and cleaned all the kitchen as this is the room we are usually all in.

I hate waiting for people to arrive and then when they don't it is very annoying.

It was a lovely day yesterday with plenty of sunshine. Got two lots of washing done one in as the other went out!! That one stayed out all night and thank goodness it did'nt rain.

Mum just got up so I must make her a cuppa.

There is blue sky and white clouds right now and a bit of a breeze.I don't know if it is supposed to stay like this or not.Chris is out with Chester and is hoping to pick sloes.Then he is planning on cutting some hedges .

I did not get to see any moon last night as I was in bed by 9.00 I was shattered after my afternoon with Sofia, oh !!!! we had fun it was the first time she saw her gran not so happy and she yelled the place down.

She climbed up on my knee and was very interested in the hair clip I had put in my hair, I had tied my hair back as It needed washing and I was going to do it when I got home, but she wanted to pull it out and I said no and she started to pull my hair . what a really stong grip she has she would not let go and the more I said no and shook my head she held on tighter and pulled harder, I ended up pulling her hands of my head and that is when she got up set, we tried the distraction game but that did not work and I had to put her down on the floor and she yelled the place down
went in the huff with me and crawled over to her mum and stopped.
I then got up to go into the kitchen and she craweled back over to me all smiles again. Luckley they don't hold a grudge very long at that age.
She has her mummy's temper Oh dear!!!!!
