Evening all
Did my shopping in Glasgow for friends daughter's pressie, bought her some matching earings and knecklace set. also most of the shops had summer sales so got some new underwear . weather has been awful it has poured all day. but not cold.
OH is sewing the hems of my jogging trousers, just in case the woman from the clinic phones to arrange friday for my back class, I am hopeless at sewing and don't know how to use the overlocker machine. Better go and try the trousers on then I'm going for a bath.

I always remember a quote from a chap called Ed Foreman years ago who did a seminar OH went to. He said 'listen to what your wives and girlfriends say......or someone else will!!!'. So true.
Off to get a cuppa and watch that programme now.

Goodnight everybody was at Beryls all day today only just got in 11.50 pm We did have rain last night it was so heavy it flattened some of my flowers.
I did say Beryl was a nutter Frank but she did not open the pop corn she thought I was sharing it but it gives me intergestion so she took it back in the bucket and asked for a hotdog. The lady on the kiosk did say to her we do not change food but will this one time. Anyway been with her all day we were looking through her items of clothing for my charity shop she gave me a load we are trying to get enough for a new scanner at the hospital. nitenite.

Morning All,
Started sunny again but we have just had a very heavy shower and now the sun is shining again. Weather is like April showers which we did'nt have this year.
Mum was'nt too good yesterday. she only ate a bowl of sugar puffs in the morning and took her pills. Wanted nothing for dinner last night and went to bed. I have'nt looked in at her yet.

Just popped in to say 'thank you' Jane for that tip. I think you are right about the lady not wanting to recognise her husband's problem. My concern is that he's still driving and with his memory problems.... I won't go there. Just hope their sons will sort matters.
Mel, what I remember of Bideford is that very imposing bridge and the steep hill the shops are on. It must be treacherous in the icy weather. Nice town though and I found the people very friendly.
Ann.... I felt for your poor husband. He must be quite a footie fan to have gone off like that. Finding a good dentist around here is like striking gold.
Shirl ..... So that's what you do with your dusters lol
The sun is with us today and I'm off to look for some new curtains for a bedroom we've just decorated.
Have a nice day everyone :)

Regards to your Mum Mel, It could be the weather. I only had Marmalade sandwich Sat. morning.Nothing till 4.30pm Sunday and only picked at my dinner. Yesterday I had a buttered roll for lunch and a ready meal for dinner (Not like me as you know).
Clear blue sky here, slight breeze. Going to Birmingham tomorrow for Ros to see her specialist. 1.30pm appointment. Might stop off on way back and have a look round shops.

Morning All Hope you Mum is OK Mel?She gets days sometimes when she doesn't fancy anything doesn't she? Catie,my Mum was born and brought up in Bideford,I spent a lot of my childhood going back there to visit and stay with her sister.Lots of Happy memories at Westward Ho! I have to go over to Market Harborough in a minute to drop something in the Hannahs estate agent, then pop into her house and see if there is any mail.I might have a little mosey rond the town while I am there as there are some lovely little shops, and a very good Deli.

Afternoon Folks,
More rain overnight and I had to tip the water out of my trays of plants outside. Water butts are filling nicely now.
Sorry to hear your mum is off her food Mel Hope she is soon better. OH had a painful mouth on his way home last night and has been taking painkillers yesterday and this morning. I suppose it will be like that for a couple of days.
Market Harborough is quite a nice place, some of it quite old and I like the shops there too. I remember cramming a chair in my car to take there for a valuation a few years ago and walking down the road with this chair that looked like something the Munsters sat on. Red velvet and barley twist rails and leafy carvings around the back piece with pointy bits at the top. I got a few odd looks.....it was one of six. They were a devil to dust!!! lol
Frank, do you still have any chickens?? Hope Ros's appointment goes ok tomorrow. I like the Bullring area in Birmingham, like the way they have kept the old beautiful buildings too and not hidden them away.

Watch out for Beryl Frank you thinking she is a nutter she is going to buy clothes tomorrow in Birmingham city centre. You might see me also I am going to get a birthday present for my daughter but not with Beryl. If you see Beryl she will be the one in big fur coat and huge hat .I just want to get in town and out of it .
We went to Beryls dad and mums grave today to clean it I said I like the gold RIP of course being "Rest In Peace." Beryl said yes it means" Right Into Pub" .Her dad used to get his wages and go in the pub and spend it. Beryl had a big family and her poor mum did not get much money when he had it he drank it away. I had lovely clothes for the shop from her though.Sophia was well away arranging those in the window.Lets hope she got out ok. I am not going in this week either decorating the kitchen I have just had a tub of Kentucky Fried Chicken for lunch shared a bucket with my neighbour we had a interesting talk about wedding dresses being made out of parachutes during the war his sisters dress was a parachute from a RAF base in Lincolnshire. He gave me a photo its really nice the dress. Looked like silk How we had to make do with things. It seemed all the skirts were really short in the forties because of rationing coupons and in the fifties the dresses were really long with tucked in little waists and full skirts. More material I surpose to play with. Beryl gave me a ra ra skirt popular in the eighties. Glad someone else eats marmalade sandwiches my favourite bye all oh by the way thank you for the e mail Mel aol was playing up so could not answer it so glad you liked the little fairy book I have .Your garden is very big it looked small on the photoes of the fairy but can see it is huge. I take it the picture was of Ann and her husband. You all have met and seem very good friends well off to brave the foe and get my paint brush going. Its gone really dark after being bright and sunny so would take a brolly with you Frank if your in Birmingham.
