I did read that it could be the girl from his church. Lucas is the only one to go to identify her so he could easily lie. He could have Denise locked up somewhere and have killed off somebody else. this is a really creepy storyline!!

I have been cut off from East Enders. As of mid-June, I think it was, until September, or so they say. It appears that BBC Canada (which has nothing to do with BBC, actually, it's been owned by a succession of domestic networks here, they amuse themselves selling specialty channels back and forth among themselves) is low on cash. I'll take bets on whether we get East Enders back again ever.

We are getting endless endless reruns of find a celebrity a home shows (all called, in the listings, Fantasy Homes by the Sea, even though they never are). And Top Gear at least four times a day, if not five, and I'm not exaggerating -- different episodes each time, so I suspect they bought the entire back catalogue and are running through it all summer.

We've had the same episode of build a place in the country (not enough money, not enough time, will they make it, will they make it??) at least three times in the last month -- not just one three times, but three that I can think of three times. Over and over and round and round they go.

Oddly, the one that No.1 liked, Homes under the Hammer, now only shows at 3 a.m. Saturday night. I managed to remember to tape it for him last night. We haven't watched it yet ... and I'll bet you know why .......

I don't follow Corrie, but look in once in a while when surfing channels - as far as I know David Platt is still alive and kicking and making everyone's life a misery; his dreadful mother, ET, has yet to meet a sticky end; and Steve Wossname, he of the pasty face and ever-rolling eyes, has still not been given the sack .
